Those are good choice, do check out the Spartan Zeus, i have been using them for over 4k kms now, within a few 100 kms they become very comfortable to wear and to walk around(mind you , not climbing or anything, just moving around) , they have good breath-ability too, have mostly used it in highway rides.

Hi Sagar, Babloo motors at Vashi keeps the Spartan riding shoes and has some more options as well. He only has Spartan Zeus costing around 7700.
Ok folks.. It's time for some addition to gear.. Next on my list are a good helmet and riding shoes.. Budget... Not more than 7k.. Which should I get first? Upgrade helmet or get riding boots?

Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world
Yes.. I'm contemplating on sol sf1. But it costs about 6k on its own.. I already have a pair of quechua which serve descent for riding.. Hence I'm looking for proper riding boots..
I will have to buy one after the other.. Can't figure which one to buy first. I guess the simple rule to follow is you cn live without a foot but not without a head..
Thanks for replying to such a silly question though.. Appreciate ur help..

Gear for sale: fake A* bionic knee guards, 3" bar end mirrors. PM if interested.
globe2ride : In that case get the SOL and then save again for boots. You need to shell out atleast 5-7k for proper riding boots. Till then use the quechua

Anyone heard about Petrohead Tankbag?? Saw one in ebay. It says 1680D fabric compared to competition (cramster has 800d I guess). Any inputs? Google speaks no word about it except ebay.
DSG Nero or DSG Triton or Spartan Helios or Rjays Swift? Which jacket to go for?
Should/Must Haves
- Rain Liner to (at least) shield from medium rainfall. For heavy rains - raincoats make an obvious choice :P
- Armour/Padding at the right places
- Longevity
Rest all like YKK zippers and all should be by default!
Any other good option also welcome within the budget of the mentioned jackets.
Thanks

I've been wearing the Spartan Helios for 6 months now, and I can say the jacket is good.. It's a mesh jacket with Knox armours and serves Tue purpose well.. If you are buying it, I would recommend trying it out first.. Because I found the sizing to be a bit odd. There us a noticeable difference between size with and without liner..
I would also suggest looking at Zeus gear.. I hear they have come up with a good range of jackets with nice features..
Regarding dsg, I cannot comment, but going over thr forum it seems they do the job, but helois is certainly superior..

Considering Helios and Icarius - at least from the website, it seems the only difference between them is a slight design alteration and knox armours. Calls for a 2000INR difference?

Icarus would be a nice budget jacket. But Helios is definitely worth the extramoney simply because of the superior quality of armour.. But it's your call un the end.. Go to a dealer and check out both jackets.. You'll know Tue difference in armour I'm talking about.. Then you can decide for yourself if you want to spend the extra 2k.

Knox armours are considered very good, hence the premium of Helios. I can't comment whether they are better than armours in other jackets, but, it sure feels better. Also, gathering from all the reviews online, Knox are rated very good for their armours and in many cases used as benchmark to test various new armours.
