Will definitely post a ownership review later. Just wanted to ask 1 question (not sure if this is the right thread for it!). Which exhaust should I go for considering I want a decent thump, which I won't get from the stock long bottle. Want to pick from 2 options: RE upswept (off-road) or the Short bottle (Indore) silencers. Don't want a very loud note but a decent thump, so not considering the Megaphone, Goldie, etc. Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance.

I'm a new xBHP Ian..have booked CL350 Ash....im still in confusion between 350cc and 500cc.however,my doubt is on the exhaust (for now)..
    1. do we have the option to change the stock exhaust to the Indore or upswept ones....??

    2. If yes , will the warranty be still intact ???
    3. If yes, will it cost me more..ie are we buying an extra exhaust or are we exchanging ???

    4. If yes....😉 which one has the nicest thump ???(it need not be the loudest)

    Thanks

      Hi Nithish,

      To answer your questions:

      1. Yes you do have an option to change the silencer from the showroom itself during delivery. But i'd suggest you run-in the engine for 2000 kms before switching silencers.
      2. Warranty "officially" I think will be void as you have made modifications. But if and when you have to claim warranty, just plonk in the stock silencer and go to the service center.
      3. It definitely will cost you. Showrooms don't buy-back your stock silencer.
      4. Best for thump n not so loud silencer is definitely the Goldstar with glasswool. If you want thump like old bullets, go for the Indori short bottle with glasswool.

        Hi

Thanks bro for the info.j don't think I will be changing the silencer for atleast 1 year....by the way..i have never listened to the stock silencer...does it have an average thump ???? ie at least those who are riding on the bike could hear a thump ??( Even that would do for the initial stages...😉.have to learn more on the bike..then only will go with modifications. &#128522

Stock silencer doesn't have sufficient thump. That's why people opt for a change in silencers. You as a rider will hear it but very low.

Hi Guys..I am really confused between classic 500 ,classic 350 and bullet 500..
            I have some queries...

1.heard after reading much reviews that the Fuel Injection pump is prone to failure ...suppose if it fails in the warranty period...will they replace it for free or will it cost me ??

2.I like the looks of the classic..that's why I've booked the CL350.. but I heard (again..from the reviews) that the seating of the bullet is better than that of the Classic..how true is that ??provided the classics have the springs for the rider..

            3. My place of work is 150 km from him..so I intend to take a ride home and back ,once (or twice) every month...so which one would be better ??a 350 or a 500 ???

4.. I should not have taken the test ride of the 500s 😢.😢

My opinion is is bullet standard 350 since you have long KM riding hence will give better avg. I did couple of modifications like RD kind handle bar and exhaust change but was preference. If avg doesn't matter then I feel standard bullet 500. I too feel the sitting is better and comfortable (no offense to anyone, just my preference). I see another benefit of you will own an oldest model running in the world [emoji6] . I own a 350 bullet, other than their normal hiccups of owning a RE in start. The performance is good otherwise.

Please note that a 350 standard doesn't have estart or front disk. But I have had no issues so far. Other owners must comment too about different models.

I had my bad experiences with tube bases tire hence planning to change to a tubeless. I wish to keep the old look but time constraints and experience pushed me on choosing a tubeless but otherwise tires will perform good.

Remember each RE or any bike has its own pro's and con's.

I love each one of them but it's like a marriage where you choose life partner who meets your need [emoji12] .

Again, this is completely my point of view. Do consider you comfort and experts views and make a call. That's what I did when choosing my bull.

Do check the ownership thread for 350 standard

              Happy thumping !!!

Guys...i have enquired about Bullet500 in my place (Marikar motors,Thrissur,Kerala).
They told me they will get me delivered any 500cc bike be it a classic or a bullet within one week..is this normal ??? For the classic 350 that I've already booked I still have to wait 5 more months..is there any way these 500s could be the ones which are used in showroom for testdrive ????or rejected by somebody after PDI ?????

(Plz forgive me if this sounds too dumb &#128513

I guess it will be old model .Once of my friend got delivery in 25 days . I checked with the RE showroom guys they told that those are authorised dealers and we are direct company sellers .

authorised dealers don't have latest model and direct company sellers have latest manufactured models .

                        hello all,
This is my first thread , I was totally messed in selecting the suitale Bike for me I am around 6 ft heigh and of 80 kg weight . The Huge debate occured inside me, in selecting the bikes between Honda cbr 150r and the Royal Enfield(Bull) . After so many months of debates , I decided to stick with Royal Enfiled(Thunderbird 350), as i need to concern the Pillion comfort( may be in a year, will get married ). And probably use my bike for commuting purpose(say 10-15 kms daily) , Thats all about the front page of my book .

And here are my questions !!

                        1. Whether Royal Enfield is a right Pick by me ? (if any , please say )
                        2. Will Royal Enfield need to be in Extra Care when comparing with other Bikes ?
                        3. Going with Thunderbird 350 is a right choice ? ( classic 350 is my second priority )
                        4. And what are the things than I need to look forward on buying the RE TB350 ? (i.e PDI came across this word )

waiting for the replies , Thanks in Advance

On seeing your height and weight I could say ThunderBird would be best to you.

The vehicle is awesome. I have been driving it for past 1.4 years, no problem at all. But you should expect common problems (actually not a problem) like Brake is not good, Engine Vibration and noise, Engine oil leakage (I have not faced till now) etc.,

For your luck, Royal Enfield has extended their warranty period from 1 year to 2 Years ( or 20 K Kms).

                            To answer your question

                            1. Whether Royal Enfield is a right Pick by me ? (if any , please say )
                            Yes.
                            2. Will Royal Enfield need to be in Extra Care when comparing with other Bikes ?
Not at all. But you should expect minor problems here and there.
                            3. Going with Thunderbird 350 is a right choice ? ( classic 350 is my second priority )
All have the same engine but handling is different. If you like going a long ride, Thunderbird would be a good option.
                            4. And what are the things than I need to look forward on buying the RE TB350 ? (i.e PDI came across this word )
To be frank, If you find anything faulty in a new bike, they will change that under warranty but they wont change the bike which has been assigned to you. But do some common check like scratch, lights and horn etc., And also check whether you will be able to remove the rider and pillion seat easily. I had a problem of fixing and removing rider seat.

                            Thanks
