That will be there little but trust me over the time you would get so used to it that you would stop feeling it . Telling you from experience. Now I can ride my 350 countinously at 105-110 (if road condition allows) without getting shaken. First time I was shaken to the core

For one, I have a CL350 and maybe luck, maybe extended breaking up period, my bike doesn't vibrate all that. True, 125 is max I have achieved, but still the soul guzzling vibration is only in the band of 60 Kph to 65 Kph. Not above and not below. and my carb is set to normal and am not running rich. giving me around ~45Kmpl when I ride sanely. and am running total stock, save for the Wildboar Reverse Cone.

The point being RE's are still unpredictable :/

TVSian For Pillion comfort , Bullet 500 is a must. For the pilot , CL500 seat is awesome! But pillion seat is not all that if I'm being honest. I got a wider one made for me at Khajanji, Karl Bagh cos my Mrs complained about the back seat !
So for seat comfort, Bullet 500 is a safe bet!
Hope that helps,
Peace

anarchy911 I've been commuting across Delhi since I bought my CL500 in November and to be honest it is a bit of a fix in heavy traffic. Handle gets a bit heavy in slow speeds etc. But you know what? It's one helluva ride and I don't mind slow speeds cos it does give one cred on the streets i.e auto wallah, buses, taxis etc give side to overtake easy ( must be the respect for Bullet or cos they think one must be a policeman probably ;-) ), goes over speedbumps and potholes smoothly . So, all in all one feels safe on a CL500 in the city, if u don't mind 30 Kmpl and can handle a heavy bike in slow traffic CL500 is your beast !

Hello everyone,
I'm looking forward to buying a Royal Enfield. I'm 6'1", 70 kgs, and I will soon have to shift to a remote village near Dhanbad (close to Wasseypur, ehehe) so I've shelved the idea of buying the Duke 200, and opting for a cruiser( let's overlook the "RE isn't a cruiser" argument for a moment) bike.

I'll be living in a township where the roads are well built, but occasionally travel to Kolkata 300 kms away and am sure will face some classic indian rural roads on my way, so looking for a sturdy bike.

I prefer the simple Classic bike look but RE Classic design seems a bit crude to me I'm now inclined towards the Thunderbird, but I need to know if I should go for the 500cc or 350cc. Would the 500cc have significantly lower maintenance hassles?

On a side note, any upcoming bikes that costs within 2.5l and looks like the Gv650 or XL883 XD?

• Which Royal Enfield Model?

I have been dying hard to get my hands on a apache RTR 180 but my dad don\\\\\\\'t allow me. He told he will buy me only any Royal Enfield. I never rode a RE before this but yesterday I went to one of my friend\\\\\\\'s home and rode his RE Bullet 350. \\\\\\\'It was just awesome\\\\\\\'. It feel of RE was way better than the Apache. Truely!.
But he told me since I was a bit slim, REs won\\\\\\\'t suit me. so I thought I would ask you guys

I am about 5 feet 7 inch tall. I weight 55 kg .19 years old. I am really slim (but not the slimmest). Should go for a Royal Enfield?
If yes which model?
I will be riding 10-15kms everyday and occasional long rides (not really long)
My likes: I really like the Classic 350 and bullet 500
Would the RE classic 350 suit me?
Which is he best colour?(again I like the black in classic 350 and forest green in bullet 500)

All suggestions are welcome

If you were comfortable riding RE 350, I see no reason to not go for it. Go ahead and book one. All the 350 models share same engine so it\'s just a matter of personal preference for choosing electra, classic or thunderbird. I believe since its your dad\'s dream too, you can go for electra. He will also like it.
RE will suit you. Don\'t worry about that.
And regarding color: Get a silver one as black color is more prone to scratches.

Thanks aquaticbullet . Gonna book it next week. Still worried about the time. They said it will take 8 months.

Try to ask other dealers nearby your area. Anyways, RE takes time but the upside is that you will get 2 years / 20000kms warranty which is a good thing.

• Continental GT

Hi All,

I will make this short, For the past year my weekends have been preoccupied with planning long highway rides both solo and in groups, and I found the common aspect as that being the Royal Enfield as a weapon of choice of almost any and every discerning biker. My father used to own one (he actually purchased 5 during his life time), but I never warmed up to the brand and sold his Machismo over a decade ago. The then Bullets were somewhat of a pain when it came to maintenance and reliability. However, things seem to have improved over the years. The fact that RE has just beaten Harley in global sales definitely reinforces this.

Anyway, I test rode all the REs on offer with the exception of the Standard and fell in love with the Continental GT. Granted that its a Cafe Racer, but I loved the test ride and the riding position didnt bother me one bit. Loved the sound and the handling was just heavenly. I can definitely see myself touring on it. Im pretty much fixated on it, however I didnt find many user reviews on the net. Can some of the owners guide me on the following points:

1. Reliability?
2. Maintenence costs?
3. How is it like to live with?

I currently ride a Pulsar 200 Ns, but Im not a speed freak and I am ok with the whole single seat look and functionality of the bike.

Whether To Go For A Brand New Classic 500 Or A Used One : I Am Confused
Hello Fellows I Am Really Confused
I Work In Dubai And I Would Like To Own A Classic 500 EFI
Why Would I Want To Go For Classic 500 ?
I Loved The Test Ride That I Did Before 4 Years.
I Dont Care About The Fuel Efficiency Because I Would Hardly Be In India For 30 Days A Year.
I Love Enfield.
My Current Situation:-
I Own An Avenger 220 2012 Model .. Hardly 6,000 Km On The Meter , Its Still Good As A Brand New Avenger .
I Would Like To Sell It
I Will Be Back In India By October 2015 . As Of Now Ive Planned To Sell The Avanger Asap ( Ive Informed By Brother To Sell It As We Already Have 3 Bikes In Home )
I Am Planning To Book My Classic 500 Immediately So That I Could Take The Delivery Of My Classic 500 On October Ie: When I Am On My Vaccation
The Confusing Bit :
Should I Really Go For A Brand New Classic 500 ( Used Once In The Market Seems To Be Done Very Few Km's )
Is It The Correct Decision ?
Last But Not The Least : Will The 2015 Model Classic 500 Have Any Changes From The Current Ones ?
Your Comments Are Very Well Appreciated
Thanks & Regards
