New ZMA or P220 DTS-i?

  • ZMA is really good bike... Bajaj... body rattling noise and engine vibrations are a major deterrent in the long run!!..

      ZMR's disc pads costs 1k but as even till now i didn't have to spare that money for them so i would say they last long & are really worthy buy..

      even I was talking about actual speed (read my post again) measured by gps or speed gun..& company guys measure speed on bike in an average conditions but things might go a bit different on road like a rider might be lighter then an avg person or even there's a bit of slope on a road, so there's always scope of crossing that mark what a company created but not with a huge margin, may be by couple of units & that's what i said..i haven't checked via gps or speed gun but i myself witnessed 134km/hr speed on zmr's speedometer which has got least error among Indian bikes..which might not be the true speed but it was somewhere close to it..am a bit lean as well so don't think that your bike can't go beyond what a company mentioned..

        first of all you telling me that i have concluded my result before riding these bikes & then you want me to just rely on what magazines say?? i don't trust those magazine, rather i believe on mine n owners experience on any machine..still i would love to see that review about braking in different bikes..

        • I was also confused between choosing zma or p220. I went for p220.

          Zma-
          positives -Great looking bike from sideways (the visor and the rear assembly didn't attract me), reliable, rock solid grip on roads, comfortable sitting position, Honda engine, clock on the digital console.

          negatives- no leg guard, clip ons looks to old, underpowered headlight uncomfortable for night.

          220-
          positives- Raw 21 ps power, great throttle response (bike jumps off in second gear), Digital console (not so useful though), decent amount of torque, autochoke, FE, great looking thing from any angle (yes its not only a motorcycle, it looks like a bull), great cornering stability, distinct exhaust note, overall a great package. best sitting position.

          negatives- rear disc issues, front brake too powerful, pillion seat not so comfortable, maintenance heavy naked chain. ( I didn't find any other issues till now - 1100kms)

          • Nowadays getting spare for zma is a tiresome activity Otherwise no big issues for that bike But on the other hand service is a headache for P220 especially if it is a fuel injected one Noob mechanics killed the image of P220dtsfi and now the dtsi. But some are lucky that they are getting prompt service. I am just waiting for cbr250
            Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat.

            • I will say X he will say Y some one else will say Z, here's a decent way of selecting...
              1. Go to respective showroom and test ride both bikes.
              2. Talk to trusted friends, ride an year old bikes (Zma/P220)

              Then you will get CLEAR picture Good Luck !

                        Of course the CBR would be a great bike but isn't there a huge difference in the prices of the CBR and ZMA?

                        One who is targeting the ZMA or P220 may not be able to buy the CBR due to the high price...

                        If price is not a constraint for someone, I would say go for the Ninja
                        Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)
