guys i have a doubt. is it better to connect the oil tank or go for premix.what are the advantages?
currently the oil tank is made dead and is run with pre mix.

Oil tank is always better as it allows you to stick to one brand of oil rather than being forced to select the brand that your Petrol dealer sells. Direct connection is mostly done by college guys to save on the sudden expense of 1lt oil when the oil tank goes dry..lol..thats what i did during my college days
You may add oil to the petrol sometimes to prevent your tank from rusting from the inside as we are talking bout an used bike.

Better check out your oil pump is functional or not, if its functioning better use it, its better to feed the oil through the pump rather feeding it directly through petrol.

P.S - these are only my views

i dont understand how will it get rusted when the tank is just a fiber one. the external part is metallic but inside i am sure there will be a plastic or fiber tank. correct me if i am wrong.
AFAIK metallic tanks RD 350 used to have.

and my mech says when using the tank if there is dust or something which clogs the oil flow. so he suggests pre mix.

guys i am sure this shud not be here but i wanted to....

i have a kinetic honda and off late its developed a peculiar problem. when ever it stays in rain outside or cold it wont start even with 20 -30 kicks.
other wise the engine is fine and starts during the day when weather is hot or humid.

                what could be the problem?
i have been facing this problem since a month and at times had to leave it at office and catch a bus back home.

                help me with this guys

get the round indicators dude!these box shaped ones look really ugly on the rx.get the original bigger round ones and not the newer plastic ones on the rx135. those are stronger hence last longer.will post the pics of it if you want

                      Sarab

Go for a rtr fi but i recommend u 2 1st test ride the fi bcz its riding posture may disturbs u a bit. Although in case of performance, acceleration, mileage(50+) and maintenance it is the best.

                      Regards

First the Kinetic Honda problem- get the carburettor and spark plug checked and cleaned, also check the air filter. clean it if you have not done it.if this does not work let me know.

Yamaha RX-100-Well you have got a good bike there (atleast it looks good) Like all i will also suggest that go for a separate oil tank and i will agree with pulsarmaniac that the round indicators are better, also get the wheel alignment checked and the steering cone adjusted properly,i would suggest a leg guard its very helpful, the RX-100 is a great bike but you have to respect her.

yes i will have to change the indicators to the original ones. but where can i get the original ones?
                          how much will it cost?
what else do i have to do on my ride now?

do you suggest mirror and horn on this?

thanks man. i will check for these things. but i got it serviced recently, buy still i am getting this problem. i believe while servicing they will clean the filter and carb as well as spark plug.

its been 4 years since i changed the plug. should i completely change the plug?
whick plug will u guys suggest for my kinetic?

i dont think you will find the original round ones that easily for the rx100. the indicators on the rx135 were different from that on the 100.but they are the same round plastic ones on the crux A-Z that yamaha produced afterwards.the best thing will be to get the duplicate round ones for the rx100.they are still available.they cost around 120 for the front and the same for the rear.120 is for two indicators that is.got it for my frnds rx few weeks back.
another thing you should do is to get a legguard/crashguard for safety.trust me, they are lifesaving at times.one of my friend's leg was saved just because of them when his p200 skidded on the highway last month apart from the bruises he suffered.so get a strong one.
remove the chrome lining on the headlamp.let the back of the headlamp be black.looks good that way. and surely buy a good helmet since you have got a beast for yourself so better tame it in time. post more pics specially the silencer so that we get to see the condition of the silencer too.check the footpegs.if they are damaged or distorted, change them as soon as you can.they aren't that expensive for the rx. crux footpegs will fit i guess.
check the electricals.if its not upto the mark, better change the whole wiring. wiring in old vehicles is always a trouble. and lastly get better bulbs for the headlamp as the lamp of the rx100 is no better than a lantern in most of the cases.good luck

will be changing the indicators a little later.
what will be the cost of the wiring change? and what light setup should i use.
Mech says the bike is running with 12v.
regarding the crash guard i am planning to go for the single bar one. will it do well with the bike(looks wise and saftey wise) ?
footpegs are in good shape so no changing those.

am traveling now so more pics to come soon.
