i got my internet connection at home.from now on i will be readinh the thread pages regularly. i am going to thrissur tomorrow through the MC road.
1. Can anybody put some light about the route/deviations after chengannur.
2.Is it a good plan to take a detour from kottayam through side roads ti visit 'kumarakom'?

Can we think about spreading awareness in schools also. I know this is being conducted on a sunday but is it possible atleast to do something regarding students.

Its a one day program and I don't think we can cover schools also. . But it would be very nice.

To spread awareness in schools and other institutions we can use flex board or posters and we can hang them prior to the program itself.

If everyone is looking for a place to sit and chat we can opt for Jawahar nagar boat club..plenty of place there and good setting for a round table conference

@AJ: do you have any links with arts college alumni or current students who could co-ordinate or organize a street play like you mentioned?
Then this time, is it a regular sponsorship from Amba/AQ or are we looking at something more?

I am on the way Nio. But we have to spend something for them..so need sponsors.

Lets please put the past in the past and do what we can and make this happen... if atleast 10 people can do bits and pieces we can do a decent campaign. Lets decide a date first.

Yes it was over and 2012campaign should be a message to public so we have to do something more creative. Everybody should think in a different way and find out what we can do with less cost effect

@All: Nice to know that everybody is here from FB Flag off will start from Kowadiar palace..the other detail will plan soon.First we have to make different groups for the tasks. I am asking who can do the following tasks
1.Media/FM: Noel,Remy and any others from Tvm and Cochin...
2.Sponsors: All are deputed for the task
Hope the event date is confirmed..so start planning accordingly. We can make the split up team in the coming G2G. Again,thanks for the discussion here

Peroorkada, Trivandrum, Kerala, India to Thrissur, Kerala, India - Google Maps

Take the left from Changassery to Alappuzha. The MC road from Muvattupuzha to Chegannur is not that great.

So what about the main theme? General road safety itself like last year? Or should we specialize like 'two wheeler' safety etc?

I think there is some confusion regarding visual media etc... we do not have enough time to create 'short videos' (not to mention display them), organize any talks or demos on stages like last time etc. (Please, no offense to anyone meant ok) Basically, this will be like the first Helmet awareness campaign -flag off, ride through city, distribute phamplets, conclude. We'll just have one or two 'dramas' by some team if possible at any of the venues - start or finish, on somewhere enroute This needs to be finalized.
Also, since JJ and Absal are taking the TEE thing forward, we'll do that too. Lets keep the design simple, maybe minimal so that we can reuse it - my opinion. This can help keep the cost in check too.

AJ and I also suggest that we avoid any sponsors... we just have the pamphlet as an expence. That can be easily pooled among us. Dont need excessive copies like last time. 1000-1500 will do.
Only thing we do not want to scale down is the media coverage. The more media who can cover, the better. Noel had some suggestion regarding this.

Very good points.. I hope everyone reads the above highlighted points and plan forward.

It will be a one day event. Visiting school and colleges is phase two of the event and will be planned for a later on time.

So we have to limit with pamhplet, tees, a banner, and something for the drama team and split up the cost and say tata to sponsorers

Will each one of us get sufficient brochures individually so that we can spread it to our friends,neighbours etc,atleast a week before the event.

It will be helpfull to get mass attraction from youths/students if we can start a page in Facebook about our event. Also indicating/advertising about this facebook page in the brochures may be good,i think..
