@all - There is a small update,

Me and Vishwas met Nesan who works in Rolon (chain brand). We sort of had a word with him in regards to knowledge and products of his brand. This coming g2g (1-8-2012) we would discuss about his presence in one of the g2g which will take place on (8-8-2012).

We can have a small presentation from his side in regards to motorcycle chain system.
He would broadly explain topics like maintenance, upgrades, downgrades, types and preferences.

All i need is number of members who would actually love to attend this presentation, I have already had a word with him in regards to presentation, he is also very much interested as this brand is OEM for our bikes.

These two g2g's consider them to be useful in regards to knowledge and other aspects.

I feel if there is some kinda tech discussion and presentation than i feel Moto Cafe is the right place, as it has ample parking space and place to talk and discuss, and close space provides an advantage in rains rather than sitting in open air grubshub if inside is full or roopali.

Yes, the Rolon g2g will be at TMC because of weather and other issues which is on 8-8-2012, (only if members are interested)

But this g2g (1-8-2012) will be at Grubshup as per the schedule.

does anyone knows where can i get a projector, not entire HID kit, i need it for setting up my old HID.

If its a direct fit than good or some jugad will be required so please let me know if anyone of you has done similiar thing.

Just one thing which i felt is not fair and wanted to share with the people who call up G2G's at any location in the city or outside, have the responsibilty to inform people if the G2G is called off, like in yesterdays case i reached grubshub just to find none is there due to the bomb blasts, tried calling eshan but he was not answering my phone, all i wanted to know if he or anyone else is coming down. It has made me wonder if there were other new souls like me who would be on their way from their office to G2G and are unaware of blasts, but due to some reason get entangled in a bad situation, whom shall they get in touch if the G2G caller himself is not ready to answer the calls.

I agree this bomb was low intensity one, but would it have been an major blast and if any of our members would have been effected or dead who would have known his whereabouts and who would be answerable.

Requesting senior members to come up with a solution so in future such a situation comes all members should be made well aware.

Ishan had called me up asking what he should do to cancel the G2G. However, no one had confirmed that they were coming down for G2G so no one knew whom to inform and whom not to inform. This is why I suggested to him to do nothing.

Did you by any chance confirm / post somewhere that you would be coming for G2G? or is it G2G posters' responsibility to call up / sms everyone from Pune chapter informing them not to come?

Ishan had also informed me that he would need to work second shift in office and so will not be able to come down for G2G.

I do agree that informing everyone or sms-ing all the members of Pune chapter is not feasible.

But I guess a simple post saying "Cancelled" could have been posted.

That said, yesterdays situation was unique, and I dont think it should repeat itself in the near future.

I myself didnt turn up - obviously because I did not want to get caught in the chaos that might have ensued after the blasts.
(Again, I am assuming that there was chaos.)

There was no chaos. In fact, I was at roopali, FC road from 6.30 pm onwards. Even when first guy called me up to tell about bomb blasts, I laughed and did not believe him because everything was absolutely normal. Only after 2-3 other guys called in succession, did I found out that it was not a hoax.

Also I seriously doubt that guys check Pune thread at the last moment to check whether the G2G is still on.

I was at work in a meeting when you called, after the news our office was in emergency evacuation process, i was left home 2 hours before my shift ended.

SMS is blocked for my ID, i have sent report to google but no reply yet.

Yes, next time over ill update it over the thread only, no fb or sms because its not accessible. Please be advised it will only be updated on the thread and not anywhere else. Also there is no list of members who are attending/bunking the g2g so getting hold of all is impossible even if sms is sent because some have DND activated and it takes more than an hour to reach the phone.

Moving on.

Yeah there was chaos, continuous checking at Baner exit, Chandni Chowk Exit and after Warje. Was pulled over three times. I regretted taking the highway and to have hydration pack which they thought something else.
