Humpi??

Guys we are going ga ga over Humpi, it just occurred to me that we should not go to Humpi due to the tensions in that area.

I think we should think about Warangal or Papikondalu better continue with the initial plan of Srisailam, that we should wait till our Honorable Prime Minister addresses this issue. At least we will get to know which areas will be in trouble. So we will take a decision tomorrow.

^Same here. Everyone has got an extended weekend coming but I've got lotsa eats n drinks with cakes n sweets and ahhh.. Season's greetings to ALL in advance. Any one wants to drop down for post christmas lunch on 26th afternoon at my place is always welcome

So please input UR stance on the ride format.
Single day ride or Overnight stay.

If everyone is ok with overnight stay thats ok...
But if some ppl are not ready for that they should not miss this trip due to that reason..
If we get a group of around 4-5 ppl who are not ready for an overnight stay they can start off home evening itself, and others can start next day

Can be finalized once we decide for a place and get the nominations.

Warangal is one good place to visit...
Last time we went therer, we could not go to any other place other than Pakhal lake

The roads are in excellent condition upto to gangavathi(hampi is 20km from here) as i have returned home last week through this route only.

Humpi (virupapurgaddi would not be expensive, I am eager to have the Italian pizza there, suppose to be authentic Italian and costs wonly 60/-)


How much was the budget, can you please point to the thread / post where you guys put your experience??

If you are in a group, only petrol will be your major expense, as per my memory we paid around 500-700 for room & we all 5 shared it.
So its a good to get humped. but the basic plot is to do long stretches at good speed. Need to be at Hampi max by 1PM(400KM)

Kiran in that case, we better decide a place near so that the non-over nighters can do to and fro in a single day!!

2. Nagarjuna Sagar (400 km)
3. Srisailam(450km)

Guys, Hampi is about 400 KM from Hyd. It is difficult to do 800 KM in one day if that was the thought. Also, it would not be a good idea to do 400 KM one way with a handful of young guys on P220's and those not used to highways. Add to this, group riding slows you down heavily.

Warangal - actually a good option but Jai Telangana KCR is visiting Warangal on Thursday. Gotta check his full schedule.

As such, we have to wait till tomorrow noon and then decide on something based upon the situation. The Congress Core Committee is meeting tomorrow morning and there is supposed to be an announcement on the burning issue

Guys, Hampi is amazing to say the least. We would connect to our culture and literature (Not sure how much Telangana people would connect to this culture and literature but please don't pull me for this. I still feel all Telugu is one). That apart, anyone would get amazed at the scale, architecture and the collapse of the worlds greatest metropolis. Two days is just not enough for this place. And, when you go there, carry extra memory cards, batteries and water bottles

But I am saddened by the commercialization pilgrims / tourists have to face here.

That would not be easy to do.
Overnite stay people would like to explore the places on the way, where as return journey people would like to reach humpi at the earliest. so there would be contradictions.

so lets make it straight...either overnite stay or single day. As KP said and as I know...800kms in a day would be a daunting task and risky

I cannot confirm as of now, since my bike's service date is about to reach and i dont have enough budget as of now.


though i would love to visit humpi.
