For Hotels - Try MTDC on the beach (the best and yet reasonable you can get in Tarkali)
Have experienced snorkeling in Tarkali and Andaman, it will be waste of money in Tarkali...
Fish lovers - do not miss Chaitanya in Malvan

there are even cheaper options than MTDC yet MTDC is best. but we (the xbhpians) usually look for cheapest hotels
staying in malvan is like only accepting Diwali Bonus and forgetting the main salary i would suggest to stay near tarkarli beach or at deobaug, but not malvan. malvan is crowded too.

Chaitanya, yes definitely but i found Sagar Kinara even better. located right at Malvan beach. a bit slow to serve, but the taste of fish makes the wait worth
