Kolli Hills Ride

Hi Guys,

I'm back from a awesome 3 day ride to Kolli Hills . The weather was near perfect (cool & cloudy) for the most part, except for the last 100 kms on the return journey (it rained..).

This is my first long distance ride (1000kms totally). The roads were awesome (except the ghat sections in Kolli hills).

I will post more details later...

Route taken: Chennai - Vellore - Salem - Kolli Hills

Riders: Sunny (Black Ninja),Senthil (Black Ninja) & Rajiv (Green Ninja).

Yes, it was really good ride . The ghat's were challenging (especially to me; as it was my first experience). But the bike's behaved in an exemplary manner.

if you have not started - please head to Bangalore. you do not get any gear except some helmets in Chennai. head to Bangalore or order online. just my 2 cents

Steve i went to Orion motors yesterday ..
There is only one Nero jacket available which is size large
No revive gloves and no knee guards (except some Fox local made stuff) .

But Cramaster showroom has all their products in all sizes and open in Sunday also ..

So If any oen going to bangalore for riding gears (DSG) better call orion motors about the availability and go . Else order online(if you have tried the same jacket and know the exact size )

Yes Dileep, we really wanted to make this trip, no matter what. We were prepared to face rain/slush/mud/snow ...etc.,

My top speed was 160 Kmph. This is because i had a big tankbag & shoulder bag with me. This created lot of drag & affected the aerodynamics of the bike.... The bloody tankbag also scratched my tank...

Believe me, there were lot of road-streches where one could have easily done 200 kmph speed without feeling a pinch...
