I'm bummed out there. Nowhere central is actually enough. Anyone got a place in mind? I thought an McDonald's would be cool. But it's starting to seem a little far fetched.

Was not expecting it will happen so soon, but they validated my account just some time back. Very prompt, serious props to them..!!

Well McD is not really a place where you can relax and talk. Alternately I did a search for CCD near central bangalore, 8 of them came up, but then I remembered a post which had been made by Phanikar Sir during the ISG2G Chikmaglur time... Quoting those below!

The Pre-Ride City meet up Details:

Meet Date: 14/10/2012
Meet Time: 7PM
Location: Lavelle Road Cafe Coffee Day (near UB City/Biere Club)

This is mainly for the folks registered for ISGTG, Chikmagalur. It would be great if fellow Xbhpians also meet up.

Request all those who have registered for ISGTG to be present at the location.

Well what about sticking to this location? CCD Lavelle Road? Is it convenient for everyone?

Also, as a side note, I found another of Phanikar sirs old post which are suddenly relevant to us Guess where they had gone for the pre-ride? Yup same place we are going to breakfast..!!

Total Distance: 100Kms(one way)
Meeting time: 6AM
Meeting point: Yeshwanthpur Shell Fuel Station.

Unknown road to Mangalore Bangalore Hwy/NH 48 - Google Maps


The pre ride is compulsory specially for those riding for the first time with xbhp. It would also help to know fellow riders. Anybody not participating in ISGTG are most welcome to join in.

Mandatory gear : Helmet,Jackets,Shoes, full pants,gloves.

Whats not accepted:Half pants,chappals, just tshirts are a big no.

Kindly pay attention to whats being told prior to the ride. Ride safe.

Anywhere on Lavelle Rd/MG Rd area should be good for a meet up but the CCDs or any other coffee hangout would be crowded in that are during the evenings..

I would still recommend Air lines hotel since it has enough parking space inside the premises itself

I miss the xBHP's old city meet adda.. Cool Join (Jayanagar) or Barista (Jayanagar-just after 4th block bus stop) - Pardon the OT
BTW, that Bellur cross ISGTG pre ride did not happen cause only 5 bikers showed up out of which only 2 of em were riding to ISG2G.. so we rode to DD hills instead..

As Gene as mentioned, Airlines/Corner House is your best bet in central Bangalore. Ample parking space and enough scope of drinking(coffee) and eating! But Airlines prices have shot up like crazy over the years!

Very true.. Not only the food cost has gone up but even parking charges have increased..

Bro i guess we both applied and got accepted at the same time! However i still have to confirm me coming to the BB ride. 50-50 chances. All depends on the health of my bike which is having heating issues like you saw the last time. If all goes well, i'll come

Get your tappets adjusted on Saturday. Also, check the spark plug. May be running lean. Yeah, on an FI bike, means air filter clogged.

Awesome man..!! Great to hear that..!! Hope the heating issue gets solved. By the way you are not running very thin oil na? Stick to 20W40 as far as possible. When Honda changed their oil from 20W40 to 10W30 my bike started heating up like crazy. After i switched to good old plain mineral from shell 20W40, this got solved to a huge extent. Just putting in my 2 cents.

I've changed my schedule to make myself free on sunday and so i will be joining you guys this sunday. But its day after tomorrow so we better define a meeting place for the G2G. And the time. Also there were talks about deciding our next G2G in our adda (which is still un-defined) on sunday itself after the ride with BB riders.. What happened to that?

Everybody is still confused where we will meet. And when.

I had posted we could meet at 6 in the evening. And we have a few suggestions for possible meet up places, but people have not responded... So basically everything is a little bit confused... :|

Corner House/Airlines on Lavelle road is your best bet with plenty of parking space!

Decide on the time and meet up over there...Don't plan so much!!!
