Hi everyone!

Gear up because we are having a G2G ride this Sunday (17th Feb)!!

Place Gopalswamy Betta
Distance = 230km one way

The place is a mountain top inside the core region of Bandipur National Park, the gates for going in open at 8:30. There is a temple on top amongst scenic surroundings and wildlife. The chances of coming across some wild life is pretty high (Elephants have been known to be aggressive here).

Tentative plan is to leave by around 3:30am and ride down to Gopalswamy. Start for the mountain top at 8:30 (as soon as the gates open). Chill out and enjoy. Come back to Mysore, have lunch, chill out and then back to Bangalore. We will mostly beat the evening rush back to bangalore and should be back home by maximum 6 in the evening.

People who are coming can copy paste the list above and add your name to it.

We're going to have fun @HGB this time around. Few things to keep in mind and carry with one self:-

1. Tank up well in advance.
2. Carry enough food and water.
3. Keep extra cash with you.
4. Cell phones and cameras (re)charged.
5. There're off roading sections up there compounded by wildlife poop and sightings, hence one has to ride slow and carefully.
[this last point is making me nervous about my PSD rear]
6. Check the engine oil level and DON'T give your bike for service now.
7. Wear shoes with rugged sole.
8. Lube the chain, accelerator cables and clutch cables now itself.

MEETING POINT:-
Somewhere near Ramaiah Hospital. Shall update by evening.

TIME:-
3:30 A.M.

P.S - It gets too hot by noon up there, so we can leave by 12 P.M and ride to Mysore for lunch. Do a little sight seeing there and be back by 4:30 PM or 5 PM because trust me, it gets real nasty after 5 PM with the crazy traffic here.

Just a small correction HGB is not inside the core areas, more like on the outer fringes of it

The core regions are not open to public and only JLR has permissions for safari closer to the core areas.
