Hey bro!, that Knox was an unexpected & a pleasant surprise, I must say! Going by that zeal of yours, I cannot suggest anything lesser now, can I? SIDI Goretex is what is tingling in my mind but the cost is extremely high at above ~20k approx. Consider A* SMX boots too, apt and cheaper than the SIDI - befitting your cornering needs.

From a more practical point of view, visit Orion Motors to have a look at the Rjays riding boots - excellent for the money, and the kind that can satisfy your lust for touring.

Ok Ok after huge public demand and by great success of BAKAR SESSIONS at our very famous GTA(Ginger Tea Adda), BTM, as suggested by Suvra da, the next big destination for BAKAR SESSIONS will be JAAGA, 68 KH Road, Double Road, beside Suzuki SHowroom, nearby Shantinagar Bus Terminal.

So it is good time for all xBhp Bangalore riders and bikernis to come and meet up for a cup of coffee and have a bakar session this Sunday 2nd Feb.
Suvra Da please do the needful by mentioning time and other details.

Military boots are good. In Bangalore you can check out at Shivajinagar and also at HSR, beside HSR police station on outer ring road.

Also one more do check out Orazo boots, seems in our discussion we forgot it.

Moreover if you want something for riding and trekking both then you can anyday checkout Quechua Forclaz500. They are again complete package by Quechua.

But the purpose of those military boots are different. As per my knowledge about riding boots, they are not comfortable for walking/ running as they have restrictive movements. But, military boots are somewhat comfortable for walking / running.

Military boots might provide protection for toe, but they might not provide sufficient protection to ankle.

I was also planning to take military boots, but realized that the purpose of those are completely different then that of riding boots.

Abhi matter finished long back and I dont think it doesnt make any sense to start again.
No one is social police here and please restrain from bringing back things
Neither anyone is considering you a noob nor we expect anything wrong from anyone. So better hold on your gallops and enjoy.
Regarding safety gears, it has been posted long back.

It forced Suvra to recompose and repost is because necomers, newbees and whatever names people give are taking things for granted.

And since you have not joined any ride it would be good you come up for G2G at Jaaga and enjoy and plan up to join future rides. It would be Sunday and I guess you can take out time from your study time and enjoy.

You are very tru Prakash bhai. Military boots are not meant for riding.
Now to my information their are various types of boots. Also some military boots which armymen use they use it for various purposes like drilling time, field work. I am telling about the high ankle ones which they wear and use it in marshland, normal gravel roads, in water, ice and all.
That one only and they are pretty good and comfortable while riding.

I used them in my Leh trip and they were very comfortable. Since it was high ankle boots it was very easy to strap on tightly which save dmy feet many times from cold chilling water and from ice too.
And moreover I consider these boots in my Jugaad section.

And the Main riding boot which I mentioned is Orazo boots.
Google them and you will see, they are pretty good.

PS: all above mentioned boots are mainly used for touring, riding and trekking and they are not meant for tracks.

Anyways, to clear off the air, this has been planned as a monthly G2G and we would meet at Jaaga once every month, date to be decided 1-2 weeks before every meet. Hope you are now clear about this event

Actually he has ridden all the way from Indiranagar to Banashankari that too in peak evening hours of traffic. So tiresome/frustration of traffic has taken a toll on him

well, bro, we initially had the idea of keeping G2Gs all over Bangalore so that riders from all around can join us. But somehow, that did not work out and we normally end up meeting each other at either BTM or Koramangala or Indiranagar. What about the riders who stay far? They do not get to meet us or we do not get to meet them unless some rides happen. This Sunday, 2nd of Feb, we have started off this Monthly G2G thing, where we would meet in Jaaga, once every month (Jaaga being in Central Bangalore is assumed to be equally distant from everywhere) and meet and greet each other. No, the monthly G2G is not a ride. It is just a chat session and knowing each other better. Ride G2Gs are posted separately in this thread. Keep an eye on this space to know about the rides.
