    @Divya Sharan

Thanks, i will try and eat less oily food now. And as for the height part, i am already 5'8 and just need a few extra inches and i think i can achieve that with normal exercises that involve stretching.
    @asn39

I hope i find a trainer like that. I have no problem in working hard for achieving what i want. By the way, i too weigh 45. :P

@babaji : Wrong about supplement part, those who cant reach that level tend to say wrong things to others regarding supplements. Please dont believe them.
Over that what @Divya Sharan and @asn39 is true. We Indians have different genetics and that is why average height is 5.8/5.9. Maximum you can do is do loads of stretching exercise and games as mentioned. And even if you do weight training please don't go beyond weights more than your body weight as of now.
Food that you can have now are Eggs, peanut butter, beans, whol grains, whole milk, fruits and nuts. And if you can have non veg : Meat is the best option.

        Thanks

I have nothing b ut absolute respect for bodybuilders.. more so in our country since it is TOOOOOO tough to be a bodybuilder here (professional i mean)... effing govt does s**t for these folks.. the amount of money they get out of 1st prize wins doesnt even support their 1 month diet properly..

I was an avid bodybuilder earlier (amatuerish).. moved to kickboxing along with heavy weight training.. (professionally i work in IT)..
My move has been from aerobic to anaerobic workouts..

Another unfortunate aspect of bodybuilding in our country is the information overload and every tom n harry being a gym instructor these days (no sports fitness certification required etc)..
Supplement is another issue which indians have been fighting with (although now thats ok i feel).. the diet has to be impeccable before you move to supplements..

and then there is the trap of weight gainers.. fat burners.. crazy stuff that..

HATS OFF absolutely to your trainer (Mr Adesh Chauhan) and all these others on the stage.. that kind of grit and determination is mindblowing in our country..

PS -- lookup mr Premchand Degra for the best of indian bodybuilders.. it seems as if lord shiva carved his back (its like a distributory of river ganga.. )..

So true, India has always looked down to bodybuilding. A notion prevails that bodybuilding means all the wrong ways of pumping up, but they forget that competitions have drug tests too.

Anyways I am happy that I moved to this new gym, the environment here is totally different than my last.

Looked at Mr Degra pics, I can only dream of that physique.

Very true Prateek.. although the sport of bodybuilding is not that awesome anymore.. al the pros (phil heath.. kai greene.. etc etc) are loaded with steroids.. BUT that does not mean that they dont workout any less.. top notch commitment in terms of diet and workouts..
If only the govt here understands what goes behind it and sponsors some athletes.. ..

BTW, i am trying to support a bodybuilder or 2 and would be glad if anybody wants to lend a hand..

@ Prateek - Good for you man to have guidance from a person who is directly involved in sport, in this case fitness.

Bodybuilding has not been a celebrated sport, like most of the other sports and the level of commitment and hardwork put across. Its been always a big one for all the nationals and asia level, mainly for getting a job with the sports quote in state and central govt. For that too it requries 110% commitment from one. Earlier availability of information was very much to closed network or i could say only few people who are interested were aware of it. With the recent movie stars sporting chisled physic the young generation has taken it serious and with international trainers coming for down for stars - they see a good potential of market here in India so you could the fitness expo's happening. Other hand it's a good for fitness enthusiats to meet their favorties and also the availability of products, promotion of this sport would result in more awareness.

As wanderer was mentioning the pro's using steriods or performance boosters, these are in use across all sports. One got to train with 100% dedication to achieve with or without performance boosters. from whatever i read and gained knowledge any supplement i take including protein i try to understand what it does to my body. similarly studied about the steriods too which are in general performance boosters to recover fast.
e.g. when one trains biceps, the muscle tissues tear during the process and body naturally produces the recovery to heal the tear, so the muscle looks grown. this is the cycle of muscle anatomy, which typicals takes about 48 - 72 hours. these perf boosters/steriods will speed up this process of healing/recovery to 24 - 30 hours. this time of recovery will help the professional in their recovery to come back on their game.

just posting what i learnt through different reference i search online and reading the books on muscle and strength.

Weight training definitely includes weight. Not necessary external weights. Weight training is essentially for building strength and you can also do that by your own body weight.

Search for Calisthenics or body weight exercises. You'll get loads of workouts over the internet. It's becoming very popular these days. There is no body part you can't target with body weight exercises.
Unless they are too tough for you, then you would have to start with free weights or machines. But as @prateek2210 mentioned, don't go beyond your comfort level in the initial few months. Give time to your body to get used to the change you're about to bring.

I just want to prepare a quick list for those who want to go for supplements. Check all this:-

                                1. Do you need supplements at all anyways? Are you taking enough eggs (unless you're on a Lean muscle plan)? Eggs are one of the cheapest source of proteins. Spending crazy cash on supplements while not taking enough eggs, specially if you're a beginner, is of no use.
Supplements charge not only for its inputs, but packaging, marketing, importing, middlemen margin, etc... So, its possible that you can do better in lesser cash if you just hunt around for domestic protein sources, which are NOT necessarily limited to eggs. They may be sprouts, beans, etc. too.
First natural diet must be complete, then only you must look at supplements. Simple.

EDITED: Remember one thing, when you eat eggs, you may take even 10 boiled eggs per day (after removing yolk from the centre) or even slightly more... But, the yellowish center (yolk) must be eaten very less. Not more than 2 eggs' yolk daily, IN ANY CASE.
That is because Yolk increases cholesterol, and some cholesterol is good for us, but too much cholesterol can be outright dangerous
                                .

                                2. Do you want to go for lean muscle or mass gaining? You can start with Mass gaining too, to have a respectable frame before increasing muscle size. Beginners often are suggested mass gaining, especially if they're not too sizey, and weight slightly on the lower sides of BMI.
Choose your category of products based on this way.

                                3. Check what inputs is it made of? Chemical processes? Milk extracts? Fruit extracts? Non veg? This can give you an idea of how safe it is.
And one more thing: Whey Isolate, (mostly for Lean Muscle gain, its 100% Protein) proves to be costly, because it goes through a more minute process of filtration. This can make it expensive... Choose final products this way.
If you go for proteins, do make sure to work out regularly, otherwise, there may be amino/ uric acid deposits in your body later on....

                                4. Go to the official website of the Supplement Manufacturer. Check out their OFFICIAL list of Indian offline and online distributors/ sellers, specially the preferred ones.
Check the seller's individual websites/ stores and make a purchase from there only... Remember, The market for fake supplements is as much as 60% and its running strong, just because... the law and order of our country.

If you just go to a store of your city, do not expect to get an international branded genuine supplement. If you still have to purchase from a non valid source, at least check the Importer's stamp or sticker on the package... Its no guarantee, but it might be ok.

                                5. Go by the dosage, and ensure you take the supplements at the right times, depending on what they are an what they do.

I'm myself not a pro at Gym, but this was just a try to give some important pointers.... Please excuse and point out mistakes if any.
