People may laugh but i find the karizma quite light inspite of it being 150kg... God knows why...but i find pulsars heavy...
Not just you but even I find the Karizma lighter to push around than the P220 even though both are around 150 kgs.. it's probably something with the weight distribution/center of gravity of the bikes and the way they are designed. The 200 Duke, Karizma and even the Discover 125 ST has got a light front end.. which makes them feel lighter while pushing around. On riding both the Karizma and Discover 125 ST feel errily similar around corners with similar kind of oversteer.

Pushing the P220 feels like pushing a really heavy bike.. even the P200NS feels bit heavy at stationary. But once when astride on the P200NS, the weight of the bike seems perfectly balanced and the front end feels lighter than the P220 (when sitting astride on the bike). And on being ridden, the weight simply dissappears on the P200NS.

Even I mean the rider footpegs which are "rear set". If still confused, you can google about what rearset footpegs mean. Riding position/stance (arms-seat-footpeg relationship) on the P180 UGIV (current) and the P200NS is very different which anyone can easily make out (irrespective of long or short limbs).

    Right.

Asthetics aside, it would have been simpler, cheaper and probably lighter to fabricate a handlebar out ot a single rod than a 3 piece one.

      Right..
So, do you think the NS bars can be exchanged with a Fazer's one Without much difficulty??
      The problems I See -
      1) it might get stuck on the tank while Turning
      2) Rider have to reach more to the handle, Which in-turn might give a more Sporty stance..
      3) How easy will it be changing a 3 piece one to a Straight one??
      sigpic

Not very easy to do and according to me not worth the effort.

The 3 piece handle bars of the P200NS even though are pretty high, is actually just at level with the top of the tank (which itself is a bulky/beefy design). There one can't install a lower handlebar without fouling with the tank.

The 3 piece handlebar is not that bad and in fact feels sturdy to hold.

I know rear set footpegs you are talking about, no need to google it for such simple reasons...
but that is what i felt....am talking about some feeling out here not any paper said stuff.....riding stance is almost the same as I rode the 180...and NS...
I may be wrong in my perception but that what I felt bro...

Ya, My logic too says the it wont be that easy..

But You know, It is the ONLY thing thing that I would like to change. Otherwise The bike seems perfect in the looks department.

Hopefully will get used-to once I own the beast..

the earlier pulsar 200 handlebar assembly COULD be a direct fit...but we need to change that plate also to which the handle is bolted... And pipe handles can be bent at any place at will... This is probably the last hope...
@payeng: na bro i dont have problem with the height of handle, all i hate is the huge empty space between the
two clipons. It looks like a bucket and feels like its an after thought stuff

Its quite an easy job and most of us have already done it on Pulsar 220s. U just need P200 classic's handlebar mounts, lathi it to fit the thicker 220 forks and Fazer handlebar fits in without any trouble.

But the problem comes when u drop the bike, fazer handle is very weak and will bend very easily. a Small drop and you will have a bent handlebar.

.....regarding the discussion on handlebar, I feel that 200NS handlebar looks pretty good. Helps it in differentiating more against the Duke. I also feel that Bajaj and KTM have done a great job in product differentiation. That's what it is. Both are in same category with same engine capacity, but still they are pretty different for anyone to easily choose between them. Be it price, or design or the way they go about giving performance on road.

hahahaha good one... well we can keep keep one KFC small bucket in that space and enjoy it throughout the ride... The funniest mod i ever saw was a r15 with music system and a small subwoofer... 2 main big speakers inside the fairing, 2 tweeters on two sides of the dash facing down to avoid water getting inside and a very compact subwoofer under the seat... All connected to the battery to boost the power and the input jack was a 3.5mm jack for using his cell phone... and man it could put some cars to shame... and you are saying that you dont have space in your fazer.... kya yaar..
@riot: main problem is not about fitting the handle the problem is actually created by those tank flaps... Else the 220 handles would have been a direct fit but it will hit the tank flaps once its turned in... And yea so true fz handl is very poorly built... I'll search for the old 200 handle...since you have it can you share the cost of the 200 handle along with the clips and that plate...

Somehow I feel that you would be better off believing what the owners tell.
