Most probably fake. Even today the website owned by Laxmi Auto shows that this helmet has internal retractable sun visor.

Vega has recently teamed up with NEXX for distribution of NEXX helmets in India,Now Vega is the same company responsible for creating certain doubts about LS2 with isi,now it won`t be a surprise if we see a NEXX helmet with ISI,have a look of their official announcement on their fb page

They are not responsible for any confusion / doubts. They were selling helmets in official partnership. Once the partnership ends, each one has to take care of own brand.

Nexx site states that Vega is their authorised seller - NEXX Helmets | store locator

and yes....I checked.....this site is NOT owned by any Indian company

One of my friends has this FF 384. And he has got the retractable sun visor in his helmet bought from B'lore. It comes to India with the sun visor only.

one thing is for sure ......mr anil gupta is not paying the full excise tax and VAT and input tax on LS2 helmets .
THATS THE ONLY EXPLAINATION WHY THE HELMETS DO NOT HAVE A MRP . AND SO MUCH DIFFRENCE IN PRICES .

and I have told been told by balaji palace and helmet paradise and megha enterprise owners that 99% of material of ls2 come from ANIL gupta .
so this talk of fake and orignal does not arise .... they are all brought into the country by him .

the chinese will give u whatever quality u want depending on how much u pay for it .

Allow me to clarify. SPG was importing NEXX into India till January 2014. However, SPG did not opt for distribution rights after this as as it felt the numbers/volumes were not feasible. It's a shame really, since the helmets were very good. The price point however is daunting for most bikers. I believe that NEXX is now being brought in by Vega.

Yes,they (vega) have made an announcement on facebook,but they have priced it too high,when it was with your firm the pricing was much lesser,

We, Pune xBhp members did a small weight study of various helmets yesterday. The weighing scale was recently calibrated and helmets were weighed one after another. So even if there is any error, it will remain constant. Thanks [MENTION=14193]indraneel.chitale[/MENTION] for bringing in the weighing scale.

i had written an email to tech design team who are a part of designing ls2 helmets,he is the same guy who had mentioned earlier few months ago that sharp is a marketing gimmick,when i asked him about the ff 351 getting only one star as to company`s claim of 4 stars,here is the exact reply as to what he told me

Sharp is not the legal requirement in Europe , it’s a buying Guide with a test which they do but adds nothing to the homologation .
It is used as a marketing tool nothing more.
We cant stop what they do , we can protest and have a retest but the 351 is a discontinued model we are selling off so we will wait till the replacement is here and see what they do then, we made some changes to allow for the use of Bluetooth and the sharp test didn’t like that so there we go , as I say its not the law , just a Marketing exercise from a government dept which will eventually run out of money.

On this matter we have to agree to disagree with Sharp, but as I have stated its not the law and doesn’t stop selling helmets ,
The test they do is random and not in line with other countries , that said I take on board what they have said and all new models will be tested in our factory in line with how sharp test at the moment , to help encourage a more favourable outcome,
Please remember we make this model for 83 countries with no country specific changes but maybe that is something we look at again in the future.

In the above photos whose helmet is the LS2 FF384.72? That is the same one I own so just wanted to know if that has the drop down visor

Thank you for your reply and co-operation,the reason i am asking you for clarifications is because we are a part of a huge biking fraternity in India,and the recent SHARP rating issue has created lots of confusions amongst Indian Bikers.Few last questions which we have
Could you kindly confirm the model ff 351 the one which is being imported by Laxmi Automobiles in India is indeed ECE certified?
and why is the ECE a sticker on LS2 helmets,why isn`t it embossed inside the lacquer?
and why is the white label on the chin strap shows FF 350 model whereas the helmet is FF 351?

Hi Vikas
As I said the FF350 is the FF351 we give it a different number at the factory purely for production.
Sharp is as I said a government scheme , and this is now a discontinued model for us and is replaced with the FF352 I suggest you contact the Indian distributor and he can contact the factory for you as this is outwith my remit and I cant answer your questions on a daily basis .

Please contact them and they will help you as they supplied it to you
