Cyclops is amazing also as per many members Turvo V16 looks same copy paste and similar output however i cannot comment as i have not seen it in person.
you can try local market as many people said they got it for 1600 bucks. i assume at 1/3rd of the cost if it delivers 80%of what cyclops does then its a good deal.
Do they explicitly state it is made in the US? Cyclops is very likely churned out from a China based factory and stickered. There is absolutely negligible (or very little) difference in quality in this or Shilan bulbs. They all likely took this design from some other source. Note there are cheaper items also available, but the finish etc are self evident through photographs either on ebay or aliexpress.

For the most part Cyclops products are engineered in the USA and manufactured in Korea, We strive to offer the best value in the industry.

however as forum member i checked with the owner and he suggested that 3800 ones are indeed made in USA as they started working on it recently.
i am not trying to promote cyclops here. just a happy customer.

I took a few random ebay links for H4 CREE (of the same cyclops type). Please note their warranty as well.

Most of these sellers offer a 1 year warranty, you do need to return the item back to them to avail it, but I guess the same applies to Cyclops? The question is, does one need to pay 3X more for what is essentially the same thing?

I got mine today and got it fit immediately... Here is the end result

            Low Beam with Cyclops

Low Beam with Osram Night Breaker Halogen

            High beam with Cyclops

High beam with Osram Night Breaker Halogen

And It is about the belief. If one is getting a product at a lower cost, it is upto the buyer to buy it

Ah this thread has dived into LEDs and for a good reason.
It has to be agreed that Cyclops is costly. Cheaper contenders are available that claim to be as good.
But there is a difference in the color temperature, while most eBay LEDs operate in the 6000 to 8000k range, Cyclops is warmer at 5500.
It is 100% waterproof. There is a video on its product page showing the same.
I get 30,000 hours of life from it.

If I intend to get the best/OE spares that are costly for the motorcycle, I think it isn't very unwise spending a few thousands extra for lights, which essentially are a safety feature.
For peace of mind, if not anything else.

But to be frank, AliExpress does have few lucrative options for half the cost.

A couple of pics. I have intentionally warmed the pictures by 10% to show the light output and coverage area to mimic a halogen. It's a 5500k bulb and hence the actual light is white, please see the color in the pics posted above my post/in the earlier posts.

Low beam (sightly inclined road, away from the motorcycle)

shv18 This Is My First Post In Xbhp. I'm Using It To Give You My Best Wishes.

In Jan 2016 I Sold Off My R15 And Planned To Buy R3. Bhushan Finance Passed My Loan Buy My Wife Was Seriously Not Happy To See Me Buy Such A Huge Investment That Too Bike "Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani" So I Took A Week To Decide What To Buy Had Been Thrice To KTM Showroom Took 3 Test Ride But Was Not Happy. So I Decided To Jump On For CBR250R. I Took All The Time Reading Reviews Online Before Buying One. That Where I Bumped Up To Your Story.

The Way You Have Put The Story Was Interesting As Now A Days We See Less People Putting Their Heart On The Paper As You Did. Excellent Work Such A Detailed Information On Your Experience Hats Off To You.

On March 23rd 2016 I Bought A Red CBR250R Which Was A 2014 Make With 8000km ODO Reading In It. Well Initially It Had A Lot Of Issues But The Only Reason I Bought It Was No Shim Nosie. Smooth Engine.

So After The Payment I Asked The Previous Owner To Ride It To Service Center. I Didn't Take A Test Ride Either Reason Was If I Get Any Bad Feeling I Will Simply Go And Buy Ninja Z250 And Then I Will Have To Lie To My Wife "Pagal Sirf Eak Lakh Bees Hazar Ka Hai" I Didn't Want To Go Through All That.

Well Here Is The List Of Job I Gave To The Service Center Guy And Tipped Him 1k So He Takes Special Care.

                    CBR250R Check List.

                    12. Clutch Check.
                    13. All Cables And Wiring Check.
                    14. Seat Covers Change.
                    15. Number Plates Change.
                    16. Body Cover.

This Was A Young Guy I Showed Him What All You Have Done With Your Bike And Just Requested Him To Bypass The Negative Wire. I Said No To Remiula And Asked Him To Replace Whatever He Feels Can Be Repaired.

Finally I Have The Bike Feel Like A Bird.

Thanks For The Motivation xbhp And Special Thanks To shv18

You are 100% correct, this thread also inspires me to upgrade things on my used CBR250 and get it back to the shape it's supposed to be.

Also have a query, I am soon to change the break pads, thinking of going for the sintered break pads, is it OK to have the normal break line's with sintered pads or should we have steel braided along with it.

In A Common Sense Term. Sintering Means Creating A Metal Which Self Lubricates.

Therefore Products Like These Are Used In Bearings And Gear Shafts.

If You Use 100% Throttle And 100% Break Like Marcus Or Rossi. Then You Should Do All The Modification Needed. If Not Then One Should Stick To The Company Specified Parts And Learn The Art Of Breaking Along With Engine Breaking. No Matter You Have ABS Or Not. First Believe In Your Self. Coz We In Xbhp Do.

Thanks, I'm on the lighter side I guess(70kg), so I'll stick to the stock pads for now.

                              • H4 Cree update

Ok, so here's one update after over a month's usage.

                                1) Low beam is amazing, very bright and illuminates everything clearly. However, there is a slight amount of glare. This is because there is no glare shield below the low emitter. If you look at H4 bulbs, they have a shield underneath the low beam to cut off glare. Newer LED bulbs in the same configuration by most manufacturers now have a built in glare shield.
                                2) High beam - looks OK for close distances, but doesn't really illuminate better compared to a halogen. This is due to the emitter structure. While it does have the emitters in the up/down position, the size of the emitters is a large point rather than a thin line as compared to a regular H4 bulb. So, while the throw is good, it does get scattered over a distance. I find this to be true of all the similar (including cyclops) and generic bulbs that have 4X cree emitters.
                                3) The fan kicks in as soon as the bulb is turned on, if you put a finger to the base of the bulb, it starts getting hot and you can perceive how much of a difference a fan makes.

                                A few beamshots again.

Fortunately, LED technology is progressing at a rapid pace and the next generation of bulbs with ZES emitters are already out. These solve both the glare problem and the distance throw. Moreover, fanless versions are available because of the lower heat requirements (about 3W per emitter and 8 emitters on at one time) . These conform to the beam patterns of regular H4 bulbs and have none of the issues that earlier tech had. While expensive at about 75 to 100 USD for a set, time and market saturation should bring down the cost.

                                Tests

This one's in Russian, but you can observe the comparison and beam patterns.
