Have you tried bumper to bumper riding in city for even 2 hours? Remember all the DC mods are for the fact when your are riding below 4K RPM..Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostReplying after long time
Couple of days back i rode for about 6 hours in Night and after that 6 hours the battery struggled to take self for first time the next morning, but just within a min it was all ready n self was working fine.
So if the battery can with stand for 5-6 hours continuous riding then is it really necessary on all these mods ???
So now if i have to put back the rectifier and check its working then will have to ride for 6 long hours again.

The Horns are already on DC.Originally posted by vijaycool View PostPulsar 180 horn circuit. On the highway Roots vibrosonic produces screeching sound above 7k rpm. So i want to limit the voltage to 12V.
Another bike is diesel bull sometimes I am getting 42V . 100/90W bulb glows like a plasma white and too much brightness. I am afraid i will go burst. Once the regulator warms up it comes down to 14V. I cant get new regulator for diesel bullet. It doesnot have battery
In the second case, the regulator is faulty. Maybe a newer model regulator will fit. Not much idea here... wiring diagrams will help in this case.

First, put that in Lower CaseOriginally posted by killerrider View PostBRO IT CREATS ANY PROBLEM IN FUTURE???
ND I PUTTED A RELAY IN MY BYK TO BRIGHT 55W BULB..
55W BULB IS OF MY CAR. LIGHT WAS AWESOME BT IT CONSUME WHOLE BETTERY IN 1 WEAK ONLY..

ANY SUGGESTION PLZZZ

BRO IT CREATS ANY PROBLEM IN FUTURE???Yes you can, the same principal applies as mentioned in the thread, and please use lower case while replying.

Yeah circuits are available? What specifically do you want to do?

Thanks. I read somewhere the alternator charges the battery at 14.4V. Even the hero honda cd100 charges at 14.2V. I am curious to know is there any voltage regulator circuit available to limit the output to 12V for the electrical system apart from battery charging.Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostYeah they wont maintain exact same voltage. But that wont lead to any explosion. And exact voltage is above 13.8V. Not exactly 14.4. That depends on the bike manufacturers. The more it is above 13.8V the quicker it will charge. But the battery can overcharge and thus have a shorter battery life. If it is just 13.8V it will never overcharge, but charging will be slower. May lead to battery problem in stop n go traffic. So, it is a balancing act.Last edited by vijaycool; 07-17-2009, 06:08 PM.

At any time no two rectifier work with identical voltage. Higher charging voltage will lead to battery explosion. The exact charging voltage is 14.4V. Is that possible to eliminate the original rectifier replaced with high power single rectifier.
