  • Link for checking traffic violations

Does anyone know the Bangalore Traffic Police's link for checking traffic violations?
I tried googling for it, but to no success.

      • Guys recently i happened to ride on the BIA road...

And i believe the lane restriction for the 2 wheelers has been removed. Earlier 2 wheelers moving in first lane were also fined irrespective of their speeds.

Now no such indicators are there on the entire stretch.

And no indicator to tell the max speed for 2 wheelers is 60. Earlier there were such indicators but now all have been removed..

So i believe we can ride in first lane as well within the limit of 80..

        • Today XBhp sticker/Riding Gear saved my 300/- from Interceptor (BTP)

I was caught by Interceptor (BTP-Bangalore Traffice Police) on old Madras - Banaswadi Road for over speeding (72Kmph) Then one Mama (Police) ask me to show my documents. Without removing my lid and balacava (A semi terrorist look) i gave my documents. Same time he showed the Video of Fastest Indian with bright Pilot Light. Then he ask me to speak with higher official.

I told the higher official that I have never been caught by any traffic police so far. Becoz i always follows the traffic rules . But he ask me to pay 300/-. I said no.

I showed XBhp sticker n told i am a member of XBhp n we promote Safe Riding. Then he ask me to pay 100/-. I said if u want i ll pay the fine. I dont have any probelm.

I gave a small speech abt XBhp n safe riding. I explained to him that I keep myself safe while riding by wearing all riding gear. Later i took 100/- to give him. He denied it n returned back all my documents with a SMILE.

He must be really impressed with my Xbhp logo/Balacava/Lid/Gloves.....

Shall we promote XBHP by distributing leaflet/brochure. So that we can give some awareness abt Safe Riding/Wearing Helmet for the public.

Wear Helmet/Riding Gear n Ride Safe

I don't think this will be the case.
Unfortunately, the only way to figure it out would be to ride between 60 & 80kmph, & see if the interceptor catches hold of us.

This post only generated curiosity. Can you please elaborate.

              Hahaha!!!

Well now there are no indicators differentiating the speed limit for the vehicles on that road. All I could see was the mark for limit of 80.

I'll still be riding on 31st so i'll check for that again..

              • The next time they catch you without violating rules or any other made up stories just report them... You dont have to go to a cop station and file a complaint, etc

Just logon to Bangalore City Traffic Police
Head over to the complaints section (top right corner)
Fill up the form and done ! Its simple.

The system automatically forwards a complaint to Asst commisioner, who then forwards it to the concerned station.

I have used this a number of times when they have caught me for no reason. 2 Sub Inspectors suspended because of this

1st time they stopped for drunken driving checking, i wasnt drunk and then wanted to see my documents. Second time they stopped me for checking papers when i had not violated any rules..

                • Just wanted to add, those of you who have been caught with this fake 60kmph rule, please make a complaint.

They really have an effect. Atleast whenever I have reported things they do take action.

eg: the drunken driving checking for papers thingy stopped. had complained about bikes being lifted some parking spots, even that stopped.

Make sure you note the name of the policeman who caught you and the area as that is important.

                  • Was riding towards State Central Library (Cubbon Park) from the Hudson Circle entrance yesterday around 7pm. Was easily doing upwards of 50kmph as the
road is wide & usually empty. Saw a red laser like light on the road, just before the rose garden. Wondering what it was, I looked up only to see an interceptor.
The interceptor just had 1 man sitting inside, next to the equipment, & no cops around to stop motorists/cars.
I'm pretty sure they have captured my offence, & I should get a challan home-delivered sometime soon.

                          • i live in pune and on my way to college and back there are three spots where policemen catch mostly college goers for license and documents checking.......yesterday when the cop tried to stop me i just went past him turning a blind eye two cops came behind me on a ct 100 with the pillion cop swinging his stick at me i was not going above 40 and so they caught up to me pretty soon and the stick hit my helmet...i was agitated and i pulled over and paid them rs.300........i want to know if the cops are allowed to stop people just to check their license....it is really annoying because on my way to college and back i am stopped 6times....and in total i am stopped at least 10 times in a day while roaming around the city.....are the cops allowed to do this???? plzz give me your opinions and advice on how to avoid them or argue with them in case they stop me again

                              • I too have got two speeding tickets, one on the BIAL road and other was on the ORR. I always follow the road rules except the speed thing, but I don't ride rash, only well below my limits and self & others safety.

                                And I should share these.
                                1) once when I was on my friend's RTR, I was hearing music and riding, I usually let the earphone inside my shirt and clip it from inside. I was caught on the ORR for overspeeding on a open stretch 82Kmph. I had removed my earphones and put it in my pocket. The cop was giving me two choice either pay 300 for speeding ticket and get the bill or give him 100 and fly away. Suddenly his face was sweating and in a frightened voice asked me am I a journalist is that a mic in your shirt. The set up made him think like i am taping him for some show. Then confirming it is not he was relaxed and I settled with the second option and flew away.
                                2) My friend knows there are interceptors at BIAL, when ever he passes that stretch he used to increase speeds 90+ and keeps flickering his lamp at the cops and no one dares to stop him .

And now I am worried as a CBR owner that it is a very good corrupt cops magnet.
