I had a small advice for everyone here. No harm in fitting the popular ABS kit which is available in the market and gets featured in various auto mags. Guess you must be knowing the names. Its great for those who want to get a little adventurous in the rains without compromising on safety and speed. Its worth it.

guys of late i feel that the throttle response after 55-60 kmph in 5th gear is very sluggish. I mean i feel that the bike doesn't want to go above that.. also when i'm cruising above 60 and have shifted to 5th gear, i feel like i'm still in 4th gear..
i have done almost 2700 kms now.. this has persisted even before the second service.. but i thought once the service is done the issues will be solved since they tune the engine.. but it still remains after second service..
plz guys can u shed some light on this.."Power, Beauty and Soul - quintessential elements for automotive perfection" - Aston Martin

Had a 400km (to&fro) trip yesterday along with a pillion. Main motive behind this was to open up the engine thoroughly as it was 1100kms on the odo. Now it is 1500.
Maintained an average speed of 65-80km/hr, but also cruised in triple digits for sometime. While returning had to ride in rain and wet road conditions. I was always looking for the faults of the stock MRF Zappers in wet conditions, but didn't find any.
I've tested the mileage twice. First time I got 104 kms with exactly two litres of normal petrol and my riding was sane enough maintaining constant speeds of around 65-75.
Second time I got 44 kms with a single litre of normal petrol but I was riding fast and accelerated frequently to overtake other vehicles (was testing my bike's potential). Speeds were around 70-90.
I also had around some 5 kms of offroad riding. I was surprised with the handling in loose mud(I visited a couple of lakes and rode very close to those) that too with a pillion behind. Another two guys on Rx-100 were also with us only for the offroading part and they were uncomfortable riding there
(maybe bike condition wasn't that good).
One thing which reduced the fun of the trip was, the right side rear view mirror, which was somewhat loose and very frequently used to fold because of the strong effect of winds at such speeds. This was really annoying especially while returning in the night
. Even though before leaving for the trip I tried all sizes of allen keys which were present in the Allen key set with my friend to tighten them, some were small enough to slip while rotating, and the remaining were big enough to fit in the allen screw.
In night driving the stock 35W bulbs are just OK, but not that great for visibility. Nothing to boast about, because it could have been better, had HH gave 55W. The headlight beam is perfectly placed but it only lacks the light intensity.
Couldn't capture pics as the cellphone battery was low. This was the second most annoying thing as there were many beautiful sceneries.
After the trip the bike's colour changed from Whitest white to brownish red. All thanks to offroading and rain riding. But it wasn't of any worry to me as I had to go to the SVC the following day for fixing the front right side indicator cover as well as tightening the RVM. So planned for a bodywash too.
Service Center story
Today morning gave the bike to the SVC center for installing the right side front indicator cover which was ordered 3 weeks back from Delhi. I was told by the SVC guy that the complete assembly will be replaced and not only the cover. Also opted for body wash and asked him to tighten the RVM as well.
I thought it would take a maximum of 15-20 mins to change the indicator cover after opening the front fairing and 10 mins more for the wash. But the guy was like "Saab aapko pata hai ismein indicator badalne ke liye kya kya kholna padhta hai" (Sir, do you know what all things should be removed for installing an indicator in this bike). He quoted 2 hrs. It was 10am and I returned home.
Around 11:45 I received a call from the SVC. The guy told me that they didn't have a right side indicator, instead they received 3 left side indicators from the company and that I can come and take my bike.
I was really pissed off. Went to the SVC and right inside where I saw my bike naked.
Fairing was removed. The height of anger reached when one of the people came to me and asked me to sit in the customer's lounge while they ready my bike.
I went straight away to the works manager and 'puked' everything in front of him that when did I order?, how many times I payed visits for this indicator part? and why the hell did they open up the fairing without verifying the indicators?
Mr.Abbas, the manager, responded immediately. First he asked the respective SVC guy as to why did they open up the fairing without checking the part, to which the lame reply was that they expected right side indicators instead of left side ones.
He then called up most of the other major SVCs in the city to inquire the availability of the part and it was not present any where. So he called up the Delhi office and inquired about the part availability and ordered it in the emergency secion. All this in front of me. He told me that it will be delivered within 2-3 days max. This prompt response was the least that was expected from them.
As if this was not enough, another shocker for me was when I was delivered the bike after installing back the fairing and undergoing body wash. There were blue coloured marks all over the front mudguard and the surrounding areas. It looked like someone was spraying blue paint near my bike. I was feeling like banging my head in the nearby wall.
Called that idiot guy again and asked about it. Reply was "Sir, yeh kuch tarah ka paint hai, pehle se hi tha waise hi" (Sir, it is some sort of paint, it was already present there). To this I angrily replied that this bike, I ride and there were no marks there before I left it here, ask your co-workers about it. One of the senior mechanics had a closer look and told me that it was a spray which is used when a screw is jammed. One of the screws of the fairing was jammed, so this spray was sprayed. They took my bike inside again and after 5 mins brought it back to me. The parts were cleaner but there were still many small blue coloured spots on the front mudguard.
They were already on the backfoot after all what they've done with my bike. I told them that I want it perfectly clean without any marks. They took it again and wasted another 10 minutes of my time in that. I took the bike, obviously red-faced and left the place.
This was the first time I experieced such pathetic service in this service center (Prestige Motors, Hyd). I don't think I'll give my bike to those idiots for the second service.
The bottom line is, Im still with a broken indicator.
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

fast_ferocious, though the service is not acceptable, you are getting the part very soon and because of all this happened today, they will be very careful next time you go.
You were so angry and frustrated that the entire fairing is opened without checking the availability of the part, my Stunner's entire engine is dismantled, including fairing, without checking the availability of crankshaft, and the bike was in dismantled state for 20 days in the service station. Guess, what I would have felt.
Moral of the story: HH customer service is leaps ahead of Honda (my bike part arrived after 15 days even when I complained to CEO of Honda).
BTW, where did you go? I went to Ananthagiri Hills on Sunday. Had an awesome trip with chilly weather. Rode in rain while combing back.Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 06-23-2010, 01:33 AM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

well ur is the case with the indicator only , here my svc ppl even didnt filled engine oil completely at first service, their was 3/4th oil in the bike, cant imagine the shock i got at that time. after 1st service , i changed my SVC. HH is getting poor day by day in terms of after sales service.Originally posted by fast_ferocious View PostHad a 400km (to&fro) trip yesterday along with a pillion. Got a call at 11.15am from the SVC. Was told that the part is available now. Immediately went there. But they said I'll get the bike only after 5 pm. Again the same old reason 'bahot badaa kaam hai saahab, aur urgent mein nahi hota, screws agar jam hogae toh phir nahi milte' (Its a very big task sir, and cannot be completed immediately, as if even a screw gets jammed then it wont be available).
Thinking that this is the last time I will be facing those idiots, I kept my cool and came back home.

My ride was on the NH9 till Zaheerabad that is approximately 100 kms from Hyderabad. From there took a right turn on the SH4 to Bidar (Karnataka). From there to a small village called Andur which is 15Kms from Bidar. The NH9 road was very good. The SH4 road was also good until we entered Karnataka border. Patches everywhere. The weather was very scenic too.
