      +1000
To ride that much is already justified by the time you booked the machine... So ride till when you want to stop...(you ll never do the same).
If your bike is just after 2nd service, nothing to worry. Check the tyre pressure, done. Hope your brakes were well cared by the svc during service. If its rainy season, get some rain protectives. Hope you have already well read the topic of Riding while raining in Xbhp safe riding tips. So train yourself for the correct proportionate braking and the braking style for wet roads... Keep you helmet visors clean. Take a cloth to wipe the visors if neede... Thats it...
Btw I made a 500 km trip on next day after my 1st service (on 700 km)... Completed the run in during that trip... That preride for tri state g2g... And registered a 120 kmph at 1100 km... Lol
... Great to handle... Good for cornering... Great throttle... And a cool engine even after the long ride..,
But still the heat is communicated to my tank when I park my bike after even a small ride... I dont know why... Someone told me to wait till 1st service... But i have done my 2nd service on 2300 km today... But still its happening... May be a universal problem for faired bikes... Should be sorted out...

So dear buddy... As you say... Life is short.. So ride safe... And smile a lot

started riding a motorized cycle on a chetak classic.
Learned to accelerate on Y RX100&135.
Learned not to fall down, the patience to heal wound on knee and to ride long on a classic Pulsar 150(still running)&180.....
Planning for more dream destinations on a new ZMR

Good that you all are doing LONG tours.

I will complete around 1100 kms today while returning home.

Can I go for a long drive say around 400 kms to and fro in two days?
I mostly drive with my wife in the rear.

Probably the run-in is complete yet.

At what speed should I ride? Some Kolkata X-Bhpians planning a trip next weekend.

                My TIRE Pressure update:

                13/Jun/10 Evening 24psi -- 33psi done
                15/Jun/10 Morning 25psi -- 32psi done
                16/Jun/10 Morning 25psi -- 35psi done
                17/Jun/10 Morning 25psi -- 33psi done

My point is why is it dropping to 25psi and holding there.
Yesterday driven around 60 kms with my wife.
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

                • I tried Nitrogen Air yesterday. The guy there said that now you dont need to worry about tyre pressure every now n then. just check it once in a month. It should not drop more than 2-3 psi.

Though I was charged 50 Rs. for this but I wanted to try this out once. I also got a card which is valid for 3 months i.e. I can top up the nitrogen air (if required) for free during 3 months.

                  • Day before yesterday checked up with a couple of dealers for a White ZMR and was disappointed to hear 1 week, 2 week's waiting for it, finally walked in to a dealership @ faridabad and fortunately they just had one with them, so got it right there right then..... have just ridden it for about 20 kms, the engine seems very refined compared to her competitions, riding stance is very comfortable for touring, the rear tyre is a meagre 100 section but makes the ZMR a very flickable bike..... owing to the 18 inch rims, not able to get a 120 section replacement... options available only in 17 inch rim size....
                    WARNING FOR SBK's:
                    • Never close your eyes
                    • Do not use 6th Gear when riding in counter rotation to the earth
                    • If dinosaurs are sighted, reverse the direction of travel
                    • Call nearest Airport for Visibility distance report before turning throttle
                    • Do not operate vehicle in small countries or on islands
                    • Hang on very tightly

Bike's handling seems improved, also bike glides over small potholes smoothly.

Though I have changed within the first 100 kms of the Bike I was fortunate to drive in heavy rain.

ZAPPER-Q definitely feels a lot better @ cornering around 60kmph.

Seems to be looking just like pirelli sport demon

this thread pattern would definately have better grip than stock zapper..
