As per BI, there is an error difference of around 4-8 km, which is on par with all other bikes.Originally posted by HydBiker View Post

sorry about that.i just couldn't take the review serious bcos the writer drooled over the bike way too much.Originally posted by pranay View Post@superkartz: everyone is entitled to their opinions, but there is a line between opinion and straight out insulting someone in a forum. The first air cooled and non FI bike to come without kick starter!
But hey I checked up the parts manual
it says that a kick can be installed!
Anyways it doesnt need one, cause it has a de compresor like the r15

Graduating him from wanting an Activa to FZ has been a fun ride.... infact a new thread material altogether....
Now only if Ninja shows up soon, (or the Yamaha ECUs) I will book a new bike for me as well!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

I'v almost made up my mind to buy it. But then my local mechanic believes spares would be an issue. The showrooms are flooded with people wanting to book the FZ. Keeping this in mind will spares be an issue or can we expect yamaha to be pro active on that front?Could the r 15 owners or someone having an idea about this shed more light into this?>-----R One Fly----->>

i don’t think you will have problem on spares with yamaha (not like HH and honda with no spares even in big cities for Kari, unicorn etc..)Originally posted by speedaholica View PostI'v almost made up my mind to buy it. yes for the last couple of years they were struggling to float. just watch yamaha rising to the slot they had in the 80.s .

i dont think spares should be an issue...when ever i visit the Yamaha SS..they always have atleast one bike that comes over to be repaired bcos of a guy trying a stoppie or wheelieOriginally posted by speedaholica View PostI'v almost made up my mind to buy it. the SS guys said..oh these guys are common around the SS...and said..its good we have spares to get these bikes done with..or else these guys would pile up a queue here.
on one end he was right..but his statement about spares was quite confident enough to convince me atleast.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

I stay 5 minutes away from the Mumbai yamaha factory showroom. So i was quite hopeful with the spares aspect given the fact that it calls itself 'factory showroom'. So that's one down and a couple of more queries to go.Originally posted by satishg View Posti don’t think you will have problem on spares with yamaha (not like HH and honda with no spares even in big cities for Kari, unicorn etc..)
yes for the last couple of years they were struggling to float. just watch yamaha rising to the slot they had in the 80.s .
Now I'm a short stature. 5 feet almost 5 inches and on the lighter side of human body weight to be precise
. i currently ride a pulsar 150 classic. so how advisable is the FZ?
Given the fact that its powered by a 14 ps engine i am not hoping too much on the top end anyway. However can we expect it to be an agile bike given its dimensions and other tech specs? Would it perform well on the ocassional long rides with average speeds of 80 kph. Would it be able to sustain that speed for long or will it lose its steam? how good would this gamble be against the rtr FI which is something in itself. Or should i adopt the wait and watch strategy for the next couple of months for something which would be 'faster' and 'better'.
It would be great if anyone can help me out with the many questions that i've put forth.Last edited by speedaholica; 10-03-2008, 04:42 PM.>-----R One Fly----->>
