My bike P180UG3 has clocked 20000km and I have servied the bike like 8 times now?? All the time I have stayed there and personally made sure that everything is done properly.
          consider this example:
In Chennai, the Bajaj Service centre mechanic is given a Target of servicing 10-13 bikes every day( castrol bike zone mechanic gets 3 bikes per day).
Imagine leaving ur bike behind and coming and picking it up in the evening.
They would have washed it and polished it. Lubricated. engine oil changed(maybe) and if ur unlucky the engine oil change would have only been a Top-Up( which is not recommended).
Do u want this to happen??
          HH service

          1)Wash
2)Take the chain cover lube the chain.
3)Take the air filter out shake it up and down as if your finger is on fire.
4)Change the engine oil from the barrel(veedol).
          5)check the clutch play.
          6)polish the bike.

This is ALL they do not a bit more.

The castrol bike zone guys do this:

          1)wash
2)take remove the back tyre use high pressure air to remove the dust apply grease.
3)remove the front disk scrape the disk pad(they do it to the rear brake shoe too).
4)Apply grease to the rod that goes through the front disk they do the same thing to the rod that is removed when the rear wheel is take apart.
5)Take out the spark plug and scrape it with sand papper .
          6)clean the carb.
          7)check the clutch play .
8)clean the chain in the chain lubing machine(i dont know its name)
9)check the battery and charge it.
10)Set the idle with that thing that looks like a calculator.
          11)check the air pressure.
          12)apply polish.
13)change the oil and pour castrol crap.
          14)Thats all i remember.

I wanted to check the compression on my xtreme that has done 16000kms in 7 months but they refused saying its only for old bikes.
And they also scared me to change the clutch plate as the gear lever has
become a little hard. Thanks to sarvajit and a few others i was not cheated
and i see them change clutch plate on most bikes that come their.

I my exp,. HH/Honda SC suck big time.

Hi Abhi.... Just read this.. Hope you are fine.. Wish you and you BiKE a very speedy recovery...

Hope I could help but I've no idea about insurance claim and stuff.. but would like to share this -- please use both front & rear brakes while braking.. (60-70% front and 40-30% rear..) This way your bike will not loose control..

Get well soon and don't worry your bike will get back to shape in no time

I can totally understand how you guys feel about this incident.

Stuff like this cannot be avoided totally. But there are minute precautions that can be taken.
This is what I do.. Park at designate parking space. Generally malls will have a good parking zone. Yes we need to pay there but if you love your machine then y not pay the 10 bucks.. Also while parking in malls and office parking bays I try to find a corner spot where bikers won't generally go.. Not possible @ malls but yes in office I get single space (lucky me).... Park bike on main stand where there is a wall on the right side. so even if another bike is parked to your left on side stand it won't touch your bike......

Also, while parking at home(especially apartments/residential areas) get a bike cover.. so tat kids won't interfere with your machines..

                        Cheers n Ride Safe

ya dude i am doing it these days and also got a cover.today i parked my bike on a street side.i was approaching my bike to take it.the street was large enough to accomodate any big car.but two big cars(ambassador and indigo)tried to squeeze and the ambassador's bumper gave a gentle rub on the metal part over my silencer.
the bike moved a little bit and came back to rest.luckily no scratches or no cracks or vibrations.lucky me.thank god

When asked the same at the showroom while buying my room mate's avenger, I remember the sales guy saying "There is push to start." We were like "what" "???" and then he says Push the bike - 2nd gear - leave the clutch - lol the engine roars ... Here's the solution .. Awesome na?

Jokes apart ... You can definitely go for the 180 UG IV... My baby's been with me for the past 3 months now and no prob with self start till date..

Also - One of my flat mates owns a Pulsar 200 and one owns an avenger 200.. Both the bikes has no kicker.. But no problem till date.. Been using their respective bikes for the past year and a half..
