I think they charge extra for 'Fancy' Registration numbers.. if that is the case then I'd say save the extra money for a good quality helmet.

i have got pulsar180 ug4 2 days ago. On 16th july(tommorow) me and two of my friends are planning to take it to a village(ofcourse there's a temple) for pooja and other things...nearby 50kms. now, i want to ask that is it OK if all 3 of us go on the new bike.i mean that as the bike is new 3 persons sitting on it will create any problem or its ok.. by problems i mean extra strain on new engine with only 40 kms on odo..and any damage to suspension or other parts...I will not drive it above 40kmh

though i don't think that anything will happen to its engine but still i will not recommend you to do so.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View Posti have got pulsar180 ug4 2 days ago. technically see if you exceed the max payload the vehicle can carry(it's in the manual)
but since us say 50km,village -hence even the roads will be full of potholes etc.
and then the safety aspect.
see with that brand new a bike i wouldn't recommend you take chances, wait till the first service.Literate people go by specifications.sigpic

Additional pay load is always a stressful thing to the engine my friend. Would advice you not to do soOriginally posted by abhichotu.abhi View Posti have got pulsar180 ug4 2 days ago. Thanks dual.. Checked your album.. Cool mods there...Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostMan, The reflective rim tape costed me around 190 Bucks for both the wheels and for blue pulsar, i think reflective white will suit it's looks or the same lemon yellow!! Regarding the mileage, what ur getting after the first service is the final that almost every bike sticks to!!
About the mileage - If what you say is true then its just not good ya
.. I didn't expect this .. When I bought the bike the showroom guys told me that the 180 should give a mileage of about 40-45kmpl
...
I got the bike tuned though.. but haven't checked the mileage yet.. shall do that soon..
@Roking, deepthekool -- wht's the mileage figure you guys are getting?

apart from some common things like helmet lock, side handle, seat, tank covers etc..that's all
see what else apart from that can you have which would not void the warranty(leaving aside stickering which i feel childish)
eg. led lights
vehicle immobilizer
HID'S
all these would result in battery warranty lapse which i don't want .
and then mechanical mods etc.-these are an absolute no no for me.
@thegeneboy: the last time i checked it was 42.xx(check a few pages back for my mileage post.)Last edited by rockinggokul; 07-15-2009, 09:43 PM.Literate people go by specifications.sigpic

headlight beam adjustment
Got my new pulsar 180 UG4 last week. clocked some 250Kms thus far. Night riding seems to be an issue with the high beam streaming parallel to the road and not actually hitting the road anywhere. Its real easy to jump into potholes and I keep riding in dim.
I checked with Khivraj motors (from whom I got the bike) and the guy shrugged off saying 'it seems ok to me'! what a dumbass!
How easy or tough is it to get the headlight adjusted. Is this something I can do myself?
I got the 'misty grey silver' btw. Wonder who named the color even though it looks good and different.
Thanks
-Rakesh
