(BTW pulsar 220s delivery in bangalore starts today.. THe whole parking lot @Khivraj was filled and filed only with 220s.. The all black (or should I say everything Black) treatment looks super awesome... )

sad to say,i met with an accident today.Took my bike to college for the first time and while returning,my bike slipped and fell down..thank god,nothing serious happened.There's some scratches in the visor,head lights,thn brake lever changed itz shape.Went to service centre and adjusted the lever..Dont know what to do wth the scratches..SCG said i need to change the visor..then,engine guard saved my bike's engine...engine guard got bend..Have to adjust that too when i give my bike for the first service ..

shaheen xact same thing happened to me in addition some scratches on silencer too. I am going to SC tomorrow to get the brake lever and visor replaced and gonna claim insurance for the same.

i think that when one purchases anything new may be bike or anything else he/she becomes extra cautious about the safety of thing. thats what sometimes causes us to do silly mistakes that we donot even think of doing. and for a accident with new bike, there is nothing which makes you
hate yourselves then "apne per par khuladi maarna".

i am telling you my 2 years back accident that i met with my brothers friend bike (Karizma). oneday my elder brothers friend kept the bike at our home as my bro and he were going for a trip outside city, keys were at my home(he left them).now i couldnot control my passion to ride it as at that time it was a lot more than just a 220cc.i took it for a ride and look what happened. one autorikshaw coming from wrong side suddenly took turn and slammed into the bike. i was on road with bike.
the whole fairing was damaged. i was scared on seeing the damage to bike rather then my own wounds. i told whole incidence to my father. he had no choice but to give me money for repairs. the whole fairing was replaced by new one hopefully it was available at HHSC.
from then i never ever tried to take any 3rd person vehicle untill he/she is not sitting with me while ride..
now when i thought those incidents i hate myself as if i would not have taken bike it could have saved my money.

SC guy said brake lever will cost around 150,visor around 450..
between,are you sure that you can get insurance for these kinda accidents??i mean,there's some scratches only right..i think we can claim insurance only if our bike meet with some serious accidents..I got one more doubt,is there any guarantee/warantee for these parts??I dont feel like asking for money again to my parents to repair my bike..

I don't think crashes are covered in warranty as its not their fault that u fell. But m sure gonna give a try for claiming insurance.

What should i tell to the insurance guy?

Actually i called insurance company today they said go to SC to get a estimate of the repairs first then they will send a surveyor to the SC to survey the damage and take some photographs. So m going to SC tomorrow lets see what happens.

tell him anything but never tell him that you fell from bike..
just say him that bike has received an accident, and if he tries to ignore the small repairs or damages go rugged on him. thats how when my brothers (cousin) brothers star city was claimed for insurance for small damage

Then m too gonna do the same.Will make a call to the insurance comany first.Dont laugh,i dont know anything about this insurance stuff...

So if we get the insurance claim,then will the insurance company pay for all the damages??

huh..So we cant claim for insurance if the bike slide and fells down?

even if your bike fells off then too you should say that it has met an road accident as there will be no excuses or if/buts for this issue

then wat shud i say to him . because if wud say that bike has met with accident then FIR will be needed and i haven't lodged any FIR.

no idonot think you will need FIR see in mine case the alloy of starcity was bent and not a single peny was given out of our pocket and no FIR too.

i think that FIR's are if you have got major accident.thats what i think in your case
you have listed out that no major damage just minor scrratches....
so there is no point you will need FIR. he will ask for FIR only when he is a fool donot let him getaway with that FIR thingy instead try to do a long talk with him and nowhere you should let his issues get on you.that's the way to get rid of these guys my brother and father are expert in getting over peoples..
