@deepthekool-- I didn't have any issues finding neutral.. Get it checked at the showroom if the problem is persistent..
Need guidance
I've done 530 odd km on the bike .... have been keeping the needle around 4K RPM and speed around 45-55kmph and am done with the first service..
Is it okay the open the throttle to FULL now???.
Should I keep an eye on the RPM needle or can I just rev it up without any botheration?
Please let me know whats the right step to take going forward?
Thanks for all the help and guidance in advance

^^ you can perhaps revv it till 8-9 k once a day for perhaps 7-8 secs or so !!! So that the engine starts bedding at higher revs !!
Also while you are only till 5k rpms, make sure you take the bike thru the rev range till 5000 rpms, thru every gear!!
Take it to 5000 in 1st, then till 5000 in sec and so on !!
Do more gear chnages, dont take the highways and stay in fifth gear all the time !! This way there will be a proper breakin-in of the gear box as well !!
Hope it helps !!Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

Even I'm reving the bike whenever possible..Originally posted by deepthekool View Posti have started reving the bike after the 1st service
though i couldnt cross 90kmph due to the traffic in blore
...the handling at that speed was gr8 i must say........
anybody knows the top speed of the bike
my P150 UG2 used to touch 115kmph maxxxxxx
i hope this one atleast touches 120kmph
Post 1st service --
1. Engine sounds much more smoother
2. Gear change - no issues, all smooth change + no false neutal
Max speed I could pull on her was 97 today.... Thanks to B'lore traffic couldn't rev further..
3. @ 97kmph -- no vibes..
4. Effective braking at high speeds
Thanks SukantOriginally posted by sukant08 View Post^^ you can perhaps revv it till 8-9 k once a day for perhaps 7-8 secs or so !!! So that the engine starts bedding at higher revs !!

mine as of now : 4.
So did you get the oil changed??
I'm not facing any issues with the engine.. so 2 on 5 for the smoothness of the engine and also smooth gear change.
Guys any update on the mileage?
Since the Pulsar 220 DTS-i has been launched now - with an all black theme, any1 with plans of getting the rear disc installed on their bike? (rear disc + swing arm + whatever + whatever it takes for the fit)???? Any estimate on the cost?Last edited by thegeneboy; 06-24-2009, 12:52 PM.

Regarding vibrations -- nothingOriginally posted by rockinggokul View Postgot the oil changed!!
i was talking about heat frm the engine .
also is anybody experiencing brake lever vibrating post 50??
But yes engine is heating up
Realised when I rode it today in the afternoon for 20km in a lot of traffic rush...

... Really bad mod job... Being an air cooled engine jus adds to the heating probs...
