    brakes on ma pulsar....

    guys, I seem to have a problem with the rear brake on my pulsar 180 (UG3).....
    what should be the average life of those brake shoes ? coz i run out of brakes shoes every 6 months, & believe me, I don't even use the rear brake that much...
    The Bajaj service-men blame it on my riding, but which I know isn't true... what should I do ? my bike is a year & half old, & I am already through with 3 sets of brake shoes....

      hi guys, as we all know, the pulsar's tank isnt exactly what we would call crotch friendly sudden breaking with the frnt disk results in "smashing" (you would know what im talkin about)..
      what i would like to know [since i havnt driven the 180ug4] is that , whether the new front reclining stance has aggravated the "smashing" problem ..?

        I don think its much of a problem.Infact i ve had sudden braking situations and am out without a smash!

            i didnot find any difference in both discs,it maybe looking like an illusion as red bike is standing slightly backwards from black one..

            that is alittle too much frequent change for brake shoe's,never happened to me even when i used rear brakes most of the time, have u asked SC guyz about the problem what is there say technically.

            it happens when one is new to disc brakes , it happened with me when i purchased my P150 classic,i falled 3-4 times fromit due to sudden braking, but then i practised a lot of disc brakes in a good road where there were no people, and now i even donot bother to apply only front brakes even in muddy areas and get out happily without any crashes.and i want to add one more thing that my P150classic has done 35000+ with only one rear bake shoe and one front brake shoe changed.
            itz just needs practising to perfectly use front brakes.

              hmm..there is a problem in previous pulsar editions from ug3 onwards,the tank is made slightly slopy,so u can avoid such smashing,but itrs not avoidable if u sit tight ,or say ur riding triples ,and on sudden front braking smashing is sure thing to happen

                hi guyz hope everything is goin well for u guy'zz

                i donot know whether i should put this here or not
                "when i cross 5K RPM on my bike there are very minute vibrations(which give me a crispy feel of bike). those vibrations are felt a little bit over rear brake lever, a little bit on foot pegs and a little bit on handle bars & a little bit on petrol tank too".
                is the above a true\normal nature of UG4 or my bike is behaving abnormally.
