  • Anuragxtreme even my OEM amco battery used to die after i use the roots horn a couple of times.Went to a couple of electricians who all suggested that i need to change the battery.
So i removed my roots horn and all the wiring and went to the SC to claim warranty. But the guys their replaced a fuse cost me R 9 only. And all my battery problems were gone.So before you change the battery please give some thought to what i have said .
All the guys i asked said AMARON was good never used it though.ALL MY EXP. WITH EXIDE has been a disaster.Even my 1KVA APC UPS exide battery died recently after 7 months of use.

@hydbiker nope i dont try that with ZMA /P220 I usually let them escape.

    • ^^^Hope you got a fuse of exactly the same rating. Recently I went to buy a 10 A fuse from the TVS ASC. When I got home and checked the fuse was rated 10 A 250 V The best part was he gave me the fuse from a packet labelled TVS Genuine Spares or something...!!!

I wonder if TVS has entered some domestic electrical/electronics related business...

        • Rear brake sound fixed after he greased the inside of the drum (at least thats what I think he did)..just need to adjust my suspension now :/ when I go over bumps it feels like i'm on a water bed lol. Also what i'v noticed is when my bike comes out of servicing the tappet is adjusted great and you can't even notice the engine is on but give it 2 weeks of riding and it goes back to a fluttering sound..now i'm pretty sure the tappet doesn't have to be adjusted that often. Anyone else face this problem?

          • ^^^ brake stop the bike because of the friction generated between the shoe & drum. Grease is a friction buster. Now, if he has applied grease in the drum how'd your brake work?

or, am i missing a finer point here...?

            • I wish I knew when I asked him what he did he just said "thik hogaya na" I think he was pissed cause this is the 4th or 5th times i'v come back and they have to do it for free since it wasn't fixed in the service or from changing the pads. If it wasn't grease I dunno what he did the enclosure has a glass partition where you can watch from..he washed the drum with pressurised water and then rubbed something on the inside with a cloth..

Also I recently tested the mileage and it still gives me around 46-47 (rough estimate of filling it to the mark and then waiting for it to go off before switching it to reserve) which is great.

              • Are you sure it wasnt pressurised air he cleaned it with... rather than pressurised water?? Also, he must have sandpapered the surfaces rather than rubbing with a cloth...?

Does the rear brake bite the same it did before he did all this?

                • yea, how is the breaking now?

what they do mostly is, as said by Racoon, sandpaper the walls and blow the dust off with pressured air.

                  • Must be whatever racoon said but the sound is gone and the braking is great I love my bike now things on my list are to get the tappet adjusted, my chain guard reweilded (joint had broken when I had an accident a while ago so its naked right now) and also need to sit and scrape building paint off it drops of white paint all over tank and front visor

                    • Then he definitely hasn't greased the drums...

Better get the chain cover on fast... your chain & sprockets will die an earlier death otherwise.

Don't scrape it&later cry over scratched paint, just dip a cloth in some petrol&wipe it off.

                            anyone else experienced same issue?
one more issue with the bike is, when shut down the engine, sumtime it gives a abnormal long 'tash' like sound. any help pleade?

                            • As far as hero honda after sales service goes if u really dont want to claim any warranty and stuff ie..keep everything good/intact in your bike never ever go to SC again.Compared to my castrol bike zone exp. the SC guys cant even match the silver service of CBZ.

AAH finally a hunk owner. As far as the erratic RPM needle me exp. the same it was some electrical problem. Why u change the spark plug this fast. Its recommended to change it @ 10K not early.

Guys my bikes oil drinking episode has finally come to a end.I went to the SC and gave them HELL.But whats the use it has burned a big hole in my pocket.

I cannot find any spare parts for the xtreme in chennai/kanchi/vellore.All spares have run dry.People reading this please dont buy xtreme/hunk hero honda sucks.

                              • hey cbz-x/hunk, much better than pulsar. some says they exporting the pulsar with 135cc engine (apache is no where in the race) though after sales of HH sux..
my rpm error also started from the HH SC.
now just got back from a 350kms round trip. i was the pillon on the xtreme (red alloy). xtreme is really better than the hunk and has better handling with lil faster pickup ability.
today i again sent my hunk to workshop. now i found the RPM issue not showing. i'll check it tomorrow again
