The mech told me to top up the oil by 100ml.I just did that and started the bike it fires-up with a single kick.

I know... now its difficult. You should have checked that time itself... and esp. since you had an oil leak. Well, now you know better...

Be very, very careful esp. where there is alluminum. I cross threaded once when I was learning on my 1st HH. Had to go places and waste lot of time to fix it... by screwing in a helical steel coil. Now whenever I take a spanner in my hand, I remember that everything has to be tightened just right.

Few years ago, the dealer's service centre used to use torque spanners. Almost all such damage can be avoided by using them. But as of now they dont... gawd knows why. HH service has gone to the pigs.

^^Yep learnt a lesson their.I am seriously considering foregoing the warranty
by not going to any SC again.Also my ride quality @ the redline the bike doesnt feel like it used to be.It kinda CRIES above 8500RPM.Earlier it was butter smooth even @ 9500RPM.I have nearly done 4200KMS on CP1R.
The oil has turned pitch black.And it kinda scares me every time i take it on a long ride that i may damage the engine.Add to that the summer heat is becoming unbearable .Anyway i went to motul warehouse in chennai got hold of MOTUL 300V factory line double ester 5W 40 -4T for R630.
Can i change it to be on the safe side.I have the following queries:

1)Does double ester oil like the motul i mentioned above cause oil leakages.
Cause as u all know i am already trying to cure the same problem.The only +ve thing is i wont be shocked if it leaked.

2)The bottle is all in FRENCH.No JASO rating specified on the bottle.
The bottle says its made in france.Imported and marketed by ATLANTIC LUBRICANTS.


3)Their was a motul offical who was visiting the warehouse while i was their.I told him about my thiughts on CP1R.And asked him about Motul
he said Castrol is a good oil but motul was even better.He said people travel 500+kms to get hold of motul-in short he said the oil is that good.Is it that good.

5)_The official said it blows all the ratings to smithereens ie.. It far far exceeds all the standards set.Is it true.I asked him if that was the case why has motul not marketing their stuff like castrol he said to wait for a couple of months and see.He said they are gonna pull off some major sh**.

^^Its in Ramapuram.Landmark is its opposite to ramapuram buriel ground.Mind their are 2 buriel grounds if just ask people they will misguide you to st.thomas Buriel ground.Another pointer is if you are coming from guindy
take the first right after you pass MIOT hospitals.after you take the right the road will first bend to the left then to the right- here you will see a big board saying MOTUL ATLANTIC LUBRICANTS.The guy managing the warehouse name is Mr srikanth Ph=22491311.And they quoted me 670 bucks but the official reduced the price to Rs 630.If they qoute u any higher just tell them a
Friend of yours coming from kancheepuram got it for Rs 630 ok.
BTW dont ever ask Mr srikanth for directions to the warehouse,If u do you will truly get lost.Dont tell me u were not warned.

I got 3 cans of 300V
and they gave me 4 MOTUL keychains as complement

Today All hell broke loose.I was on my way to change My oil to motul 300V.
As the engine has to be hot when draining the oil.I took it to the highway and opened the throttle(i warmed up the bike ) reached 120km/hr in no time and still had some throttle left.When i attempted a second pass i felt as if my leg was set on FIRE.I screamed with pain decelerated and parked the bike to discover the whole engine was covered with smoke and the engine was spitting HOT oil all over the place.Checked the oil level immediately it was down 20%.The front mud guard was fully covered with CP1R.I panicked as the oil was dripping at an alarming rate.

I cut off the engine and galloped all the way to a local mechanic.The guy tested it by give it some throttle the engine lid was sprinkling hot oil.He opened the lid even before he unscrewed all the bolts he said he tread was gone.As he too firmly reiterated castrol bike zones finding.i called my friend who went with the mech. to retread it.While i stayed with the bike "guarding" it.Once the mech finished his job.I took a test ride only to find my bike peeing hot oil again took the bike again to the mech who slapped me in the back of the head while pointing to the oil cap - i forgot to fully close the oil cap after refilling CP1R.After 160kms of riding today no oil leakage observed.Hope it stays that way.

@Insanebiker good to hear that.BTW how much did they quote you i am going their tommorrow to pickup another bottle as this peeing episode has scared the shit out of me .I wonder why they didnt they give ME the key chain and stuffs.

Sorry to hear about all that mess. Thats why you should attend to such critical stuff immediately. In fact prevent it form happening. I hope your bike did not run without sufficient oil while this happened... else you gonne be looking at some engine damage.

Battery problem

Guys I have dec 06 model cbz xtreme and last week my bike was unused for 4 days and battery got discharged.I got it charged for an hour and then it worked fine but it got again discharged when bike was unused for 2 days.Guys I want to know for how much time period a battery last.Should I replace my battery or again recharge it.

Na no damage to the engine .When i reached the mech. the dipstick was showing the oil level @ min mark.The mech filled about 100ml i added 120ml just to be sure.

@anuragxtreme charge it for @least 3hrs.What about the water level on the battery hve u checked itEven i had this problem of battery not holding the charge.Turned out to be a blown fuse.Also do u have those BIG horns ??.Well i do and the OEM 7AH battery doesnt like my roots very much.

Hey bro, they gave me just the keychains cos i got 3 cans..

Actually they give caps,tees and stuff too. But mr srikanth didnt give it, but the other guy(mr louis) asked srikanth whether he gave me cap, but srikanth said i already gave him keychain

And regarding the price, first he was bluffing to me as u said, and then he said same 630, i asked whether it s the same if i take 3 cans, cos the no of cans ll be acc to the price, After i said this, he reduced 5 rs per can, that s it buddy.
