Also less techy when compared to 200 engine which is built over KTM.
If pocket allows will go for Bullet 500.
iam not offending ur choice, but do u think bullet is more techy.? i agree on 200NS, but bullet will cost u more on maintenance, its like owing a car. please note it is severely suffering from quality issues.

And yeah the 200 NS is a very good bike. Will keep you entertained for quite a time.

But something better is a question mark. Why?

Let me tell you something. I have a Joy and Extreme. Besides i also thought my extreme is better than my Joy.

But recently i had to take the Joy to my work place for three weeks. My work place is 170 kms from Home. On monday i ride to work place, do local running there, return on saturday again 170 kms.

Some of my beliefs were shattered:-

      1. First thought was i will be late than extreme. But all was blown away as it took only 20 mins exta.

      2. Second thought was speed will be slow. But man i was never more wrong. As bike was easily climbing to 70-80 kph.

      3. Smoothness- More smooth than extreme period.

Some thoughts, but i do not say that bigger bikes are not better. Extreme has lots of positives over Joy.

But my point was a better bike. In what way are you looking from better than extreme. So look into that and buy as sometimes our expectation and buying becomes opposite.

Best of luck for your bull.I admire the bull but i do not like to buy as it is not my type, or in other words i dare to say i am not its type.
      Guys,
Its not NS I am planning to buy, but SS, that thing is not yet launched. And the plan is not final

      I agree with Sibun 100%.

When my dad agreed to buy me a byke, he said "Its like a marriage, choose wisely", He insisted to go for Bullet 350.
But while at college which is ~50KM from home, I not able to ride to college with the pocket money I get on a bullet. so I chose CBZ, also owing cbz was a childhood dream.
And I treated my cbz just like my wife. But at the end of the day its a byke, not a wife, we can upgrade .

I like to get some thing better with out selling my cbz.

Exactly what I though when I traded in the D100 :'( But now I regret every bit of it.

And on a different note, I saw your pic on FB link provided in your signature, and believe me when I say this, 200NS or any other KTM mixed Bajaj would not do you much good as they're power centric bikes and pulling heavy people like us need the oomph! you get from big displacement and 2 valves. I've ridden the 200NS extensively before making a purchase and it did'nt work well with my weight, not to mention the 55L + 50L luggage I will be carrying on my tank and tail bags.

Since you've the conventional oil shocks, they lasted this much!
The gas filled shocks of my Hunk have already given up at 40k kms. I am planning for getting oil filled shocks of Xtreme.
Do keep us posted on your bike.
Yeah still on the SAL bore but recently i failed to check the oil for a few months as i was running left and right for my sisters marriage and let the oil level drop below the minimum mark. When i finally realized my mistake i had to fill more than 300 ML of oil to top it up...i dont see any amoke till now and have to see if the topped up oil reduces.

            Then no gas filled shocks.

              Hey Ashwin,
I have ridden P 220, and but never ridden 200NS, as you have experience in both, do you think that oomph is present in 220.

Yesterday one of my fired who just bought a Fazer rode my bike and told me, its better than his Fazer and only thing he dislike is that at fifth gear we feels like one more gear is left. he kept asking me if its a 4 gear bike.
I just replied him "We can over take a bus on 60, at 5th gear with out down shifting which your fazer cant do "

CEAT Zoom is a good tire. I've seen it being recommended multiple times in our forum. Its as good as my old Zapper Q, if not better.

What a coincidence, my best friend who owns a Fazer was riding pillion on the P220 a while back and asked me what I felt about the P220, and I showed him the 'Power On Tap' feature of the P220, and he really loved it, he was also considering trading the Fazer for the P220 when he gets back on the employment wagon.

Dont take this the wrong way, but Yamaha's are just over-glorified toys as far as my concerns go. They look good and work good, but never serve their actual purpose. This is my review after using the R15, Fazer and FZ-S. Remember the tagline of Fazer? 'Touring spirit', sadly my D100 crossed 16.5k mark in a period of 1 year inspite of me barely using the bike once in 3 months i.e trimester breaks, where as my friends Fazer which is over 4 years old has barely done 15k on the odo. It is not that we havent toured on it, we have, the max being some 500~600km ride, during one 300~400 something ride, we were nearly dead, I was riding with my chest on the tank supporting my weight and he was pillion with his hands on the grab rails slightly bending backwards to leverage weight off his ass. When I reached home and got off the bike, it was instant death! when blood flowed back to my ass. I literally slept face down that night. Now dont think we went offroading or something, as the bike is incapable of that, we actually rode on tarmac the whole time, Asramam~Varkala~Ponmudi~Kovalam~Asramam!

****! I completely missed your question! being carried off by memories of past rides.

The P200NS completely lacks the oomph! with P220 has, P220 is a torque monster compared to the NS.

One instance me and a classmate was on a brand new NS with some 2k or so on the ODO, we were riding towards Madiwala from Electronic City, the motor was humming, nearly out of breath and my pillion was like "Hey asshole, why are'nt you upshifting" and I was like.."BC... There are no more gears to upshift, we're already on 6th"

CEAT is available in kancheepuram itself...i will ask around for zoom.

Veedol 10W 30 if i could not get it for some reason used mobil 10W 30...even though the second bore kit was of SAL make they outlasted the factory fitted SAL bore for some reason...and this time i stayed with thin grade oil and never used expensive oils. And even after no service for months on end my ride never gave any trouble....the first 40000 kms i thought i was duped into getting a inferior bike...then the next 60000+ the bike just ran like anything...no trouble whatsoever....the less i cared about the bike the better it ran.

Normally all performance bikes will lack pulling capacity. Hence u can enjoy most in solo rather than pillion. on the other hand P220 and ZMR, both can give u the same pulling even with pillion. i have ridden ZMR with pillion and i was amazed that it still gave me the pulling feel of solo (total weight myself 93 and my friend 78 kg).

Definitely going faster with torque gives more adrenaline rush. But we should ask one question ourselves, how many times we will be carrying pillion with us. Now u know the answer which bike to choose.

Hope its not OT, but thats mine doing 115kmph with a pillion, back then I was 110kgs and my pillion was 70ish. Was able to do only 115kmph on speedo due to traffic. I'm more mature now and do not do or encourage crap like this.

thats good speed when pillion is concerned., that too with your weight . other performance bikes would not perform like karizma with pillion.

the same goes with HUNK/CBZ, i read somewhere among all the bikes tested only HUNK can able to achieve 115 kmph as top speed with pillion.

I have touched 115 kph on my extreme with pillion. Still bike was pulling.
