In terms of touring capabilities, both should be about the same, good or bad in whatever way you perceive it, as they have similar engines making about the same power.

The stance of the Uni is more upright (referring to the handlebar position in specific), CBZ-X has a wider handlebar. I prefer the latter for comfort.Originally posted by gotlo View Post

isnt the fact, that the inicorn has very relaxed footpeg positioning, going to give it an edge over cbz-x? because i personally feel that the distance between the seat and the footpegs also plays an important role in comfort..im 5.10 , i feel the shorter the distance, the more cramped it feels..Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostThe stance of the Uni is more upright (referring to the handlebar position in specific), CBZ-X has a wider handlebar. also uni'r peak torque comes at a low 6000rpms i think... dunno about cbz-x [think its marginally less in terms of max torque]..Last edited by gotlo; 11-18-2009, 03:55 PM."Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window"

That does, but trust me you will feel better on the CBZ-X, wider, well spread out&comfy. Rear set is not as aggressive as you think. Compare it with the bike I ride&you'll know what I'm trying to say!Originally posted by gotlo View Postisnt the fact, that the inicorn has very relaxed footpeg positioning, going to give it an edge over cbz-x? because i personally feel that the distance between the seat and the footpegs also plays an important role in comfort..im 5.10 , i feel the shorter the distance, the more cramped it feels..

AFAIK the CBZ-X engine is Uni derived, so both have similar characteristics.
I rode both on a highway&felt CBZ-X has the big bike feel to it!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

No way?! The HH Regional Office is in Poona, dude! Somewhere on Bombay-Poona road, if I recall correct. You could call them to complain. Make sure you ask to speak to the right person. You want the number?Originally posted by Motorcyclist View PostOh How I would love to do that...but I dont own a licenced gun

I will try to get the manual the way you saying it. photocopy sounds a good idea. I was even thinking of complaining to the zone head but the Pune headquarters is basically pratham motors!!!
My insanely ridden (though just completed 1000 kms) bike is also returning a decent mileage. Reserve at 900 kms, filled 11 litres, (10.8 or something). The current reading is 1380 and still bike to come on reserve. Fuel meter still not touching the red line!. I have ridden around 65-80 kph almost every day for 5 kms atleast, with pillion 60-70kph.
I was damn pissed off myself, when the manual wasn't given along with the bike. I didn't even know how much air to fill into the tyres... grrrrrr!
And those bozos told me some random figures. They said they would give it immediately when the bike was brought again for registration. They gave it to me on that day.
So what fuel efficiency figures you getting??

thanx in advance
Hero Honda tweaked the engine a little bit for its new CBZ whereas the Honda retains the same engine for sporty unicorn. HH has increased the power to 14.4 bhp @ 8500 RPM, Unicorn 13.3 BHP @ 8000 RPM. The extra grunt ensures that X-treme makes it more powerful than the Unicorn. X-treme is quicker than Unicorn. Unicorn is meant for performance savvy and CBZ X-Treme for power savvy.

+1, I personally found Uni's fun starts post 45kmph 5th gear, but on Xtreme the moment you start the engine, the mid range grunt is appreciably noticed on Xtreme right from the the word go. Uni's highway handling and cornering will be slightly better than Xtreme due to mono. Seating stance...I would prefer Xtreme, it's better compared to Uni..may be to my body ?Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostThe stance of the Uni is more upright (referring to the handlebar position in specific), CBZ-X has a wider handlebar. So the West Zonal Office is what I am talking about! If possible, you could visit personally... that can have a much better response. Btw, you could call up the head office also... I found them most responsive. You need to speak to the right person though.Originally posted by Motorcyclist View Post

Dude, try Nana peth area. You will get some good deals. In case you are looking for genuine parts only, then go to the chinchwad hero honda showroom (near KSB chowk, think it is Singh motors or something. Last time I went with a friend to give his bike for servicing, I saw a beat up Hunk (new, damaged rear) lying there. Maybe you could get the entire assy.Originally posted by omkarm89 View Postcan anyone plz tell me the exact cost of the hunks headlight assembly(everything including the headlight, tachometer, indicators, fibre body)
