  • happy birthday bro...enjoy life
those cowls are pretty hard so they dont break upon falling..my bike doesnt have crash bars and had falls pretty number of times but the cowls didnt giveup..
Even if the bike falls first the crashbar hits then the handle bars and thirdly the cowls...so there is very less chance of the cowls breaking incase of a fall

      Thanks a lot jayessh bhai!!!

just two more questions . . .How is the mileage said to be better in xtreme?? When they both are equipped with the same engine, same power & almost same power to weight ratio??

The hunk comes with the nitrogen filled suspension I heard but not the xtreme how does that change the experience??

      Thanks again in advance.

      • @All: My friend is planning to change the tyres on his Xtreme. Since he has already used the Zappers, he is thinking that he will change to the new CBZ Xtreme tyres which are coming shod with Dunlop tyres: Dunlop GeoCruiser 100/90/18" at the rear&some other Dunlop 2.75*18" at the front.
Now, I wanted to know the name of this front tyre.
Is it by any chance called Dunlop Ezee Cruiser?
        Quench my thirst with gasoline!

my friend owns a xtreme and we both get same mileage around 55kmpl.GRS suspension actually gives better handling than the xtreme atleast i feel so.Test ride both and decide

          • @soumen.sam - i read your comments on HH Hunk. I have few questions.

            1. I wish to use fuel filter in my Hunk - What filter needs to be used / where do i get? Any brand model?
            2. I need more head lamp output. For that may i try to use 55/60 Philips night vision or OSRAM night breaker or HID is a viable option? If HID, is it street legal? And which HID kit to buy? Does it affect the bike in any form?
            3. For more visibility can we try fixing a good fog lamp? If so, what brand and how many wattage to buy? This will help to keep the stock bike as such.

            FYI

My hunk is just two years old (as on July 3, 2010). Its red color. As on today no modification has been done. On 10.07.2010 i used diesel to clean my engine casing after draining the engine oil to make the inner part clean. I used 1 litre of diesel in two cycle to wash the engine. After that i fill the engine oil 'Yamalube 20w-40' mineral oil. After which gear shifting is really smooth.

Went to offline Chennai G2G for about 160kms on 11.07.2010. Enjoyed the ride with fellow (10) xbhpians. We all went to a bird sanctuary. A calm place away for the busy city.

            @ Hunk Owners,

Please give me your inputs on the above queries.
            Regards,
            Deva.

              3. Yes this option is good, there have several type of products available. Ask your local auto store. Low wattage fog lamp would be good. And easily you can get these within 500 Rs.

              • I switched from Fully synthetic to mineral oil. That is why i used diesel for cleaning. Anyways i will try to change the engine oil which is recommended ASAP. I will have to spend some time on fog light fixing. Let me check and tell you the add-on which i will be doing shortly.

Another one thing. At what rpm or at what speed you face vibration in Hunk.
                Regards,
                Deva.

                  • I do not feel any vibrations till 85kmph. After crossing 90+ it starts. When you ride at constant 90+ for quite some time in highways it is not good. If face this when i made a 375km journey from chennai, tamil nadu to interior south of tamil nadu for a back water spot, where boating is allowed.

I felt numbness in the middle. But then it happens on every long journey.

                      I own a CBZ Extreme 2008 Dec, done 26000.

I want to know approx how many full turns from the 'most-leanest/closed' position of the fuel screw do i need to give in the anti clockwise direction to achieve optimum tuning?

                        • Problems after installing K&N

Hello friends, I am extremely new on the website so I require co-operation if I have posted my query in a wrong thread.
I have recently installed K&N RC 1060 on my HH Hunk and since I installed that I am facing a major problem with the acceleration. The engine starts pulling after crossing 5000rpm and even the mileage has dropped drastically to only 25kmpl. Though I am ready to compromise on the mileage, but the dropping of acceleration is really annoying. My bike was all fine before and I started facing this problem only after installing the K&N air filter....
Shall I go for upjetting and I will also like to know the size of Hunk's mainjet.
Please help me out with this..Thanks
