Welcome mate to the xBhp. Me too having the HH Hunk, Panther black, purchased in Dec'09 and my girlfriend (still there, probably would be there till her lifetime) loves the smoothness and the sound. What a match!

Man... Can You give me few tips how do you tune the bike for such stunning mileage I'm even satisfied with 50 but my bike gives me just 40+/-2 Kmpl... I never ride my bike above 4k unless I'm touring... Inputs are welcome from everyone guys(It can be helpful even to others)...

It would be a good idea to take care of your health rather than your bike.

Riaz bhai I am not from chennai--- i am like 100+kms from chennai. If i was in chennai the bike would be well by now .

Yesterday an urgent job came up and i had no choice but to use the bike---the total journey was like 300kms--- i did the whole trip @ 50km/hr as the bike wont go any faster. One thing i noted was when i reached the destination and put the bike on neutral the idle was a little bit erratic(It was jumping up and down) its so mild that only when i keenly observed the idling rhythm i noted this and the bike shuts off within a few seconds by itself.

Mileage depends on verious conditions. It depends on how you ride. If the fuel station you are filling at is cheating on quantity, you will get less mileage. It also depends on how you calculate the mileage. Please describe how you are calculating the mileage. Shift gears around 4.5k for good FE. Do not go beyond 5k rpm.

Wait for 5k on odo, then you can go for synthetic oil. But, if you do not fill oil at HH service station, the warranty will be void. Better you fill HH oil made by Idemitsu.

The best way to calculate is, take a one liter bottle and fill petrol. When the bike comes to reserve set the trip to zero and fill petrol from 1L bottle. Ride around and when it comes to reserve again, check the trip. And, thats the correct FE.

Wont suggest you Synthetic oils right now! If you still want to see the difference...Try Gulf 10w30. Best so far I've seen and used on my bike.
