Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Thanks for that. I want to make sure my dealership experience is good and I get respected as a customer. That's the only reason I'm avoiding Honda activa 125. I feel I will have to take more time without rushing into purchasing one. The new access will definitely have very less resale value since they've gone for major fibre body overhaul. I like the minimalistic design and space though. So meanwhile I wait, I have to find good buyers for my motorcycle, decide if I have to deal with arrogance and waiting period at Honda's or not.Originally posted by s1d View Post

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
I would just like to differ on this one. I have ridden, Activa 125 & Access 125 both. Access would surely give a much bettet riding comfort as well as an amazing mileage as compared to Activa 125. Activa 125 vs 4G is a totally a different ball game. Follow your heart, go for Access, you are surely going to love the pick up.

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Thanks so much for your opinion. I am looking at other things too like longevity of the product and how it holds most of it's parts. Also have to take family's opinions into consideration. It can be something as basic as how they feel about a motorcycle - they feel activa is nice and hefty and is solidly put together in comparison to access. Older people want resale value too so they can sell it after 5 - 10 years with maximum resale value.Originally posted by [email protected] View PostI would just like to differ on this one. So I've thought about it and set my mind on activa 125 for now. I also like how bold it looks. Need to decide but first trying to sell my bike :P

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
why not just the regular activa 110cc model (i.e 4G, lol i guess they are riding the jio wave)? Honestly I don't think the extra 15cc makes a big difference. The regular activa has a better resale value too.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostSo I've thought about it and set my mind on activa 125 for now. I also like how bold it looks. Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Booked Honda Activa 4G in Trance Metallic Blue from dealer named Jayna Motors in Borivali in Mumbai. Will get my Activa by May 20.Had got my Pulsar 220F from this dealer only.Total Amount paid is Rs.64000.The waiting from Honda Showroom is too much 25 days waiting and then registration.Had a good relation with Jayna Motors, they had delivered my Pulsar 220F Misty Grey colour by 15 Days.Made Activa the choice over Dio for its practicality.Driving a Car is like watching a movie
But Riding a Bike is like Actually Starring in It!!!!

Based on the size, front suspension. We want a full sized scooter - I'm also thinking about vespa which has it's own community and value in second hand market.Originally posted by s1d View Postwhy not just the regular activa 110cc model (i.e 4G, lol i guess they are riding the jio wave)? Vespa is unique, but I don't know about it second hand market valueOriginally posted by srinath2494 View PostBased on the size, front suspension. We want a full sized scooter - I'm also thinking about vespa which has it's own community and value in second hand market.
,the demand might be low. Also its difficult to get spares, even at their ASC's sometimes you have to wait.Personally I didn't like the ride quality either.I took the 125cc model out for a spin, for me it did not do well at cutting corners.Performance wise the 125cc engine was good but handling ain't that great.Do consider taking a test ride before you buy.

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Ok thanks for your opinion, if I am hesitant to get a vespa then it will be because of the price. Finding buyers is difficult when it's in the second hand market, but not impossible.Originally posted by sarinsari92 View PostVespa is unique, but I don't know about it second hand market value

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Yeah its not impossible but it will be like trying to find a needle in a haystack!!!. I assume you are talking about resale market 5 years from now,but if you look into the scooter market 5 years back you can see how much the scooter market has changed, back then scooters were just a simple economic mode of transport, these days scoots have gotten more powerful, more convenient, more stylish and comes loaded with lots of features(boot light, external fuel filling, mobile charging etc) there are also a lot of option to choose from, but still there is only one scooter that was out selling competition back then and now and I don't think 5 years into the future is going to change that.Sure,in 5 years more powerful scooters will hit the Indian markets but the demand for the "King" will be the same,be it new or used,Activa has become more of a brand than just a name and I think Honda will do everything to keep it that way.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostOk thanks for your opinion, if I am hesitant to get a vespa then it will be because of the price. Again, its your personal choice but which ever model you decide to buy Vespa,Activa,Access make sure you do a test ride before and remember there is no such thing as a perfect scooter, there will be some give and take.

Thanks again. Yes, I will test ride all the scooters before choosing one.Originally posted by sarinsari92 View PostYeah its not impossible but it will be like trying to find a needle in a haystack!!!. Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Hello guys, need a little help, my father rides a 2012 model honda activa, from last few months fuse is getting blown up frequently. Inspected this issue at 2-3 svc here but none of them able to solve this. Odo reading is around 37k kms. Kindly help/suggestion on this.
Have 2008 model activa too but that one runs flawlessly.

Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator
Need help, my 2013 activa's fuel pipe is not lasting for more then 3 months. Once in around every 3 months I need to push it to a local mechanic to get it replaced. It cut's at the engine end. Due to this issue after every 2 months there is fear of it getting cut any time soon and is completely unreliable. I'm looking out for a permanent solution.

Well, you'll need to check the wiring thoroughly for any short circuits. Start by disconnecting the horn first.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostHello guys, need a little help, my father rides a 2012 model honda activa, from last few months fuse is getting blown up frequently. It could possibly be rubbing against the body/frame maybe due to improper routing or some deformity in the body which is causing excess strain on the fuel pipe.Originally posted by abhishek_jain View PostNeed help, my 2013 activa's fuel pipe is not lasting for more then 3 months. Does it get cut at the same spot ? Are you changing it with an oem fuel pipe or a local spare?
You should first try to find the cause of this before finding a permanent solution.. it is not normal for this to be happening. Check another activa and make sure you are using the right spare for the fuel pipe (there are a couple of other pipes too like the vacuum line, but i doubt they will be able to handle fuel without degrading over time) and that it is routed correctly.

Wiring had a short circuit last year after that it was thoroughly checked thrice, last checked day before yesterday but next day again fuse went kaput.Originally posted by s1d View PostWell, you'll need to check the wiring thoroughly for any short circuits. Start by disconnecting the horn first.

I'm changing it with the same stock pipe.Originally posted by s1d View PostIt could possibly be rubbing against the body/frame maybe due to improper routing or some deformity in the body which is causing excess strain on the fuel pipe.

Yes, it happens at very same place.
Local mechanic said shock observes needs replacement. My vehicle has run only 25k, what's the life of shock observers.
