@prashanth: Have the suspension set to soft if you ride solo, this would however compromise on the ride quality. The rear suspension of gladiator SS/RS is 5 stage adjustable ,try each of the setting and find out which would give you the best balance of comfort and handling. And when you change the setting make sure it is same on left and right side suspension.

@Prashant: That is right pal
Today I tested the bike's top speed, getting to 90 kmph was easy ,but from 90kmph to 100kmph it was a bit difficult .Have other gladiator owners too experienced the same ?
What is the maximum speed one has achieved on a gladi ? The official top speed is 103 kmph if I'm not wrong.

Yes, after 80kmph you will feel little vibrations but it will reduce gradually. Not completely but up to some extent.Originally posted by arunrajmail View Post@Prashant: That is right pal

And top speed I hv tried is 110kmph on the speedometer. That can be error so actual speed could be 108kmph. And as per Bike magzine it is 108kmph.

@arun: There are a few vibrations above 80... But u cant really call it that when you compare it to bikes like that RTR who vibrate much more... As balaji said they do even out a lil gradually... About the top speed... I have gone about 108 a long time back... Nowadays i'm finding it difficult to push the bike above 90 easily... It does touch 100 but not very freely... I have heard of two top speeds being quoted... One is 105kmph which a few sites have... And the other is 108 in bikeindia magazine...
@balaji: I remember you talking about a good mech somewhere near Jayadeva Hospital... Can you please tel me the exact directions or address?? Does he service and tune the bike well?? Right now my bike is being serviced well in CBZ... But the tuning is mostly off key...
@ Sudanshu: Do go for a full face helmet.... Open face and the other two in one kinds are a little unsafe as they wont protect your chin, nose n stuff which can get bruised during any mishap.... I dont know of any helmets in that range... But as far as you can stay away from the chinese brands which u might get in this range... they will look all fancy but their safety is always a question...

Thanks for the update guys.
@Balaji: I totally agree with Prashanth, the guys at CBZ does do a very good job when servicing the bike but make a mess when it comes to setting up the carb , may be because they handle different makes of bikes.
@Sudanshu:I would recommend Steel bird 1 or Steel bird 13, pretty decent helmets under RS.1000. Just make sure that the helmets fits fine and is not too tight, but do consider the fact that the cushion will sit after using it for some time. Go for a bright-colored visible one, you will be more conspicuous in traffic. I have a white and blue AARON ACE helmet with a scratch resistant tool less visor, the helmet is not that expensive at Rs 750/- and the quality is decent . If you can stretch your budget a little you can also check MPA and Vega helmets, you should find one at around 1000 to 1500.

You have to take right from the flyover signal (when you are going towards banashankari) and you have to take left turn that is diagnally opposite to the Convergys building. (i.e. back side road of Jayadeva hospital. Then go straight in that road and in the same lane after crossing the east end circle road you will get that mechanical shop in just 50 meters on the left side. I think its name is some tune works.. not sure about the exact name (bad memory).

Hey,
Sorry, i was inactive for a while. I got my bike serviced last week from MSP Moto World, the new Yamaha showroom on Ring Road. Good service BTW. I checked my mileage after that and i was shocked to find that the mileage has come down to 46 from my previous count of 54 and my best that is 62.
I had a problem with the bike yesterday. My horn stopped working all of a sudden and it seemed to have a mind of it's own. Then today i discovered that when the rpm is above 5000, the horn works. Below that and it doesn't. Went to MSP and got the problem solved. Don't know what the problem was. Battery is perfectly fine BTW.
@Sudhanshu
I would strongly recommend a full-face helmet. I have an MPA Uno and it cost me 700. This is a good brand and you can also try Vega, Studds etc.
I'm really interested in putting a K&N for my gladi. I want to know if adding a filter will alter the exhaust note of the bike. The stock exhaust note sounds so pathetic!Right now, 11 Bhp at 7500 Rpm.
