    thanks for replying buddies .....

well i went to sc to show earlier problem of misfiring,he just adjust the carb setting ,now it is little bit okay waht cud be the other cause of the misfiring like sound (pit-pit),also i shifted to Xtra mile petrol , believe me ,now it is more advanterous to drive the gladdy...just smooth
also i have come to know that K&N filter,BOSCH filter is good for motorbikes like gladdy with upjetting, but also there is problem of early carburretor damage & frequent change of the same.???
can anyone have any idea what make of airfilter is installed in the galddy type-ss/rs? what is the price of K&N filter for gladdy in india & it's part no( AT K&N SITE u will find aprt no for various airfilters)....suppose if you install K& N filter with upjetting the carb, then only power gonna increase ....what about the mileage???
    please ur opinion on this.......
The gladi has a paper type air filter as far as i know... Pretty efficient... Now the thing with K&N's are they take in a lot more air than a stock air filter... N that is why they need upjetting... Which means changing the main jet of the carb to a bigger size to let in more fuel to air-fuel mixture... I don no for sure if there is increase in power... What increases is the throttle response....
Mileage will go down as u will be upjetting your bike... Thus leaving in more fuel to the carb...
If you want to get it done... Then the model of K&N for almost all indian bikes is RC- 1060... It'll cost you i think around 1700 bucks... Get an experienced mech to do the job... N keep checking the bike initially, in the sense check the spark plug, exhausts etc to see that you have upjetted the bike properly... If the bike is not upjetted properly, the engine will take some battering in the long run...

    • hi thanks bala& prasath,
but my bike is brand new new ...opnly 285KM clocked as per ododmeter reading....should i check the spark plug really??
also i am sorry for brand mentioned earleir for petrol, it is power not xtra mile (it is diesel ) .....also i have come to know that u shud drive b/t 30-45KMPH speed for fisrt 1000 km i usually follow the rule but sometimes goes beyond 50KMPH...does it gonna ruin the performance on long term basis...

one thing i want to say yar YAMAHA should try to acieve its glory ...by customer satifaction like promoting & launching the more fuel efficient bike as indian mentality is to save money on fuel.( LIKE BANIYAS .......)
in europian countries you can have 50cc motorbike of yamaha why not india yar ?? ..one of the Xbhapian also said me that if you purchase yamaha then earlier it will give you 55+ KMPL but with time it will drop to 45+, even if you maintian ur bike,is it true??

As i said earlier my bike is 3 yrs old. And when I ride ma bike it gives me 50 to 55kmpl. And when ma friends ride it gives about 60 to 62 kmpl. So its purely depends upon your riding style. Try this method: Dont decrease the gear before 2500rpm & decrease the gear after 4500rpm.

This was mentioned in Karizma thread and it worked quite good for me. And in your bike you have rpm meter thank Yamaha for that. As mine is old model no rm meter in it .

And its too early to judge on mileage as it is still 285kms. Wait for 2 or 3k kms and it will satisfy you in mileage as well. Dont get worried and have too many doubts on your bike. You are riding a best bike in 125cc class.

I know your bike is brand new... So even im not sure if spark plug really is a problem... Jus for peace of mind you can go ahead n get i checked... Try as much as u can to ride it below 50... Occasional bursts to maybe 60 is ok... But don do it for too long... Jus bursts to 60 n back within a few seconds... Run in ensures that all the parts of your engine are set in properly and work efficiently... Thus it is important...

In my opinion, yamaha has the right set of bikes on offer presently in India... Yamaha is mainly trying to cater to a urban middle n upper middle class and the rich... and from the bikes they are offering it feels like they are targeting youth to be their primary customers.... Reasons for this can be plenty... For example... Most of yamahas showrooms and service centers are in cities and have not yet moved out to the rural areas like hh and bajaj have... And thus it would be hard for yamaha at present to compete with their rival companies( hh, bajaj) who have already made their presence in rural areas and so on...

And mileage i guess depends on the rider, maintenance and at times luck or fate i guess( do no how to put it), Some people even after a 2 years claim to get excellent mileage and then they are people like me who have never seen mileage figures of 55 after the first two three months... But i dont think what ur friend said is completely true...
I met a guy riding a ybx the other day who stopped and asked me about the gladiator... When is asked him about his bike he told me it was 12 years old n still gave a mileage of around 50+!!!... So i guess it depends on a lot more than just saying that Yamaha after sometime wont give mileage

Decrease the gear when rpm is at or less thn 2500. And increase when rpm is at or above 4500.

                for example:
If you are increasing the gear from 2nd to 3rd make sure tht rpm is at or above 4500. and when you decreasing gear from 3rd to 2nd then make sure that rpm is at or below 2500.

This applicable for all the gears. Let me know if it is still bouncing

                        • To add the snap... I guess jus save the snap to your comp... N then attach the pic...

About the modified pic- Thats some good photoshop one must say... But none of the modifications are feasable... Looks good... But in reality.... None of the mods will work well on the gladi... Will kill the bike...

                          • hey .......

today i was jsut surfing on the net and got to know about www.bikz.com site just visit it and comapre ur gladdy with other 125cc segemnt compititors, gladdy simply rocks. only glamour HH is just giving the fight.
also BAJAJ 125 PLATINA sucks ...just a toy...its transmission system is horrible, everytime i suppose to kick on the gear shifter to change the gears.
and gladdy's transmission is smooth as butter...
rest i can update when i have a some more experince with other bikes and with gladdy as well,.... huhhh

LOBO, i hope u will like the modifications done in gladdy.(LINK MENTIONED EARLIER)
