^^^ There are different variations to braking suggested. Some people do suggest to use the rear brake slightly before the front. I'm not too sure about that theory.
But anyways, the basic behind effective braking is to use the front and rear brake in a 60:40 or 65:35 ratio.
Reason being that the momentum of the bike is still moving forward when braking. Hence use the front brake more.
Using the rear brake more will lead to skids as the whole weight of the bike is moving forward.
That is also the reason why the front usually has bigger drums or disk brakes.

I got a brand new Amaron battery installed just a few days after getting the HID. It's got a rating of 5Ah. A new battery should not cause problems i believe. I'm wondering of coil rewinding has to be done...Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostSimple logic, Ur discharging rate is higher than the charging rate or might be also due to a kaupt battery. You should check your battery first.Right now, 11 Bhp at 7500 Rpm.

^^ Hey Sharkbite,
There was a thread long back about a unicorn where a similar thing had been done. The bike was converted to dc for HID. It was done by Shreeni0403 if im not mistaken. Im not sure if he is still active on the site but u can msg him for help. I met him once and he is knowledgeable when it comes to lighting.
I think he had rewound the coil and had put a new rectifier. Don quite remember. But u could definitely ask him.

Does the Yamaha Gladiator 125 cc SS model, have a ECU in it like the R15. As we have the TPS was wondering if there will be an ECU, if so where is it located.. can we change the normal ECU to a racing ECU?
Thanks in advance..
Single ride, Top gear, full throttle, grazzed the 100 kph mark for 2 seconds before i slowed down.. Bike was screaming but never felt out of breath, felt as if there is no more power in reserve to cross 100 kph also some distractions on road made me slow down instead of continuing... Is this glady s behavior?
Can a Glady touch 100kph in its own engine's effort instead of using the momentum of the bike's weight ?? screaming, touching 90 kph and then pushing pushing pushing to touch 100 is what can be done..

No it does not have an ECU... It has a carb... ECU will be found on Fuel injected bikes...Originally posted by sriram_r View PostDoes the Yamaha Gladiator 125 cc SS model, have a ECU in it like the R15. Touched 110 the other day... yes it screams... But its a 125cc after all... cant expect much more... unless u mod it to go faster.

Yamaha Gladiator Type SS 125 Rear wobbles
Hi guys!!
Since last night, i am experiencing a strange thing with my bike. The rear of the bike wobbles at speeds exceeding 50 and also at speeds less than 30. At first i thought it was a puncture. But the rear tyre had pressure. If i apply just the rear brakes at 50 ish speeds, The bike sways horribly and balance is very bad. At low speeds if i apply the rear brake, the bike is doing a skid.
I had serviced my bike last saturday and the bike is running smoothly now. No Issues with the Engine and other mechanicals. Just the rear wobbles at certain speeds and i dont have any confidence at all under braking. This is happening only since last night. I had never experienced any thing like this on my Glady before. My bike has completed 16500 Kms with no tyre change.
Any idea what could be the problem? My thinking is that the rear tyre is loosing pressure fast upto a certain level.
BTW, whats are the pressures to be maintianed on the Gladys tyres? Both when the tyre is hot and cold?
Thanks.

I actually do not know whats wrong. Maybe something to do with alignment of the rear wheel. I mean not fixed properly or something. The tire pressure can be around 36 if you take pillions. (I usually keep it at 36 anyway). And i think around 28 if its only the rider. Its given in the manual. Just too lazy to find it right nowOriginally posted by emzee View PostHi guys!!

Its been sometime since you have posted this. So is it ok now?
Yes the change will affect the mileage slightly and also the pickup. Not a big difference though as far as i could notice. You can go one size up. Anything over that would be an overkill for the bike. I have a dunlop monster on the bike. Had it fixed because i had no other option that evening. I do not recommend it. There are i think two MRF series that come in 18", try them out.Originally posted by s4s View Postwant to change the rear tyre of my gladitor type ss to a wider one.can anyone advice please which one should i change to and will it affect my mileage and pickup..

Buddy, Braking is the great art in biking that not only saves you, but also it shows your responsibility and gives you pleasure as much as you want. So far I have experience, there are different views regarding braking! But, it is true that we must apply front brake more in normal riding conditions than rear brakes. For complete information, the following link will be better.http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/art-safe...ing.htmlCheers!Originally posted by sriram_r View PostGuys,Please suggest the braking pattern I should follow when riding in speeds of above 60 kph with a pillion..Right now all i do is lock both the brakes to bring down speed and still feel less confident in the braking abilities of the bike. I still feel, the bike is meant to brake and stop more quicker but not happening the way expected. If the front fork is loose will it hamper the braking abilities not localized to a gladiator but asking in general.
Buddy,Originally posted by s4s View Postyesterday i had an accident.i felled with the bike and now i think the handle bar is slightly bent.is it possible to repair it. please help me with this.
First take the bike to the svc and confirm whether it is bent or not. The slight fall or minor crash won't bent the handle bar. Though, if it is bent take it to the workshop where metal works are performed. First take guidance of the supervisor of your local svc and follow his guidelines. Nothing to worry about~!!
Have a Safe ride dude!
