  • My take: on FS oils
    1. Longer miles before oil change
    2. Easier cold starts
    3. Maintains viscosity in high rpm's and high temperature
    4. Forms that oil film easily than mineral oil there by reducing friction between parts
    5. Long life of engine parts.
    6.

    • Fuel Screw location in Gladiator SS

      Hey Guys,

Can anybody tell me where the fuel screw on Glady SS is located? An image depicting the location of the fuel screw would really help.

      Thanks,
      emzee.

I checked out the left side of the bike and all I see is the Fuel On/Off knob. There is a screw over the Fuel On/Off knob though. Is that screw the actual Fuel Screw for carb tuning?

              Please clarify.

              Thanks,

Check on the downside of the carb. You will find a golden colored screw. Otherwise refer to the manual. Its clearly mentioned in it.

                • Used Gulf Pride 4T oil in my bike today. Though i rode just 2 kms with this oil the experience was very god on it. Engine was pretty smooth. For the first time in my life saw an engine oil with pink colour .

                  @Ravi
Well i managed to get 1ltr pack. It was having a price tag of 240 bucks.

                  • Hi guys I own a 2009 Gladiator RS. Love the bike to bits.Super handling and revvy engine. One thing I hated about the Gladiator was the constant shifting in traffic. So got the Cylinder bored to last oversize with a Fiero piston. The bike has super torque but was blocking a lot.So got a Mikuni BS-29 (Pulsar carb) and the bike runs like a charm. Also got a Green air filter. The bike is pretty quick now. But don't know about the top end haven't tested it yet

                    Cheers!

Thats some cool mods over there. Even I own a 2009 gladiator. Its an SS type. So how much did you spent over for all these mods & what were the complications you faced?? How much is the mileage drop & at how many kms did you made this mods to your bike??

3500 for the cylinder and carb. 1300 for the air filter+800 bucks for service and synthetic oil. My bike had run 23k kms. No complications as of now. Don't know about the mileage. I don't check it.

                        • Hey guys, This is Shashank from Bangalore, This is my first post in this forum.

I Bought My SS125 on first week of July, it has been 3 months since I got Bartimaeus(no offense but i named my bike after my favorite character), till now i have never faced any problem with Barty, I am getting a mileage of average 50/L.

Hey guys please help me to know what's the reserve fuel capacity of my bike, I mean the one at the showroom said 2.5L and other are saying its 1L, so I am a bit confused

Congrats on choosing the Gladiator and Welcome! A mileage of 50 is good but with careful riding, you can expect more from a new Gladi. As far as reserve fuel capacity is concerned, i'm not sure sure of the exact capacity. I'm guessing it's about 1.2 Litres. Happy riding!
Right now, 11 Bhp at 7500 Rpm.

As per the user manual its 1.9L but only around 1.25L will be usable.
Most of these details will be in the owner's manual

Thank you, but i went through the manual over and over again, but i didn't find it any where, Besides the manual they are giving with the vehicle is of the old Gladi's,

if I am not wrong they have made some changes in SS125 like height and width and have made certain modification to the engine.
