Very detailed description of Ply Ratings here : Ply Rating and Load Range

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

@Prashanth : I am thinking of doing the same. Actually I was quite blown away with the white backlit dials on the Suzuki GS150 and the Karizma. A local guy has assured me of fitting white LEDs inside the meters which will replicate that look. Will it affect the reliability of the speedo/tacho? I want good looks for sure, but not at the expense of reliability. Ur advice plz??

Also, do u have an idea about the type of bulbs used inside the speedo/tacho? A pic of the bulbs (if u have spare ones) would be helpful.

No it wont affect the reliability of the speedo and tacho if you handle the stuff with care. You could try white led's. I don't have a picture of the bulb. So cant help you with that. The thing with leds are that they usually beam light straight. So there can be dull spots on the sides of the speedo. Nowadays you get SMD's maybe those will light the speedo better. You will have to find one small enough to fit inside the speedo. Its a job you can do yourself actually. You can experiment with a few different colours leds and smds to get it right.

I got the White LED stuff done this weekend! Looks lovely now. The only problem I face now is that my eyes end up ogling at my console instead of focusing on the road ahead! Here are some pics:

                          • A question to all SS125 owners:

Where have you fixed the front number plate? Mine is on the front mask and I don't like it there.

I want to move it below the headlamp but there doesn't seem to be enough place to reposition it there.

If anyone has done it then pls post some pics of the same.

                            Thanks!!
