Frustrated!
@nightwing,
Yours are words of wisdom/experience at the right time! I have the distinct feeling that customers with bikes less than 150cc are merely tolerated by Yamaha. May be they get a concession of sorts for having a "complete portfolio" of bikes and hence keep the lower cc bikes in production.
I have already related:
1. Brake light issue - not triggered by rear brake. Was mentioned in service job card. The engineer lied through his teeth that it was done. Thankfully, I checked it and got it really done.
2. The electrical issues caused by the fuse coming loose in the fuse container. The service center guys told me to sit in the customer waiting area for 1/2 hour. The report? Changed the electrolyte and charged for 1/2 hour. As if a battery with new electrolyte can be charged sufficiently in 1/2 hour
. The real issue (loose fuse) was fixed by a friend a few days later.
3. Just since yesterday, my brake light went kaput. I thought loose connection or fused bulb. Today I took the bike to the service center. The head/receiving engineer told me to buy a bulb from the store and *then* bring the bike in. Once I brought the bike in, they checked... and the brake light was working! OK, so loose connection. "Keep the bulb, its genuine, not local", says the IYM guy. "OK, fix the connection", I say. I went off to pay for the bulb in the customer area. When I returned, the technician told me that it was done. The brake light was working... I can't peer inside to see the connection.
Today evening I checked before riding out from office... it was NOT working
. I mean, WTF??? So much apathy? OK, I was a fool for not checking the brake light - would have saved me from buying the bulb, but how much time does it take to open up the brake lens and check the connections?
I do intend to get intimate with my bike. But time pressure stops me from it right now.. Anyways, I plan to see whether I can open up and fix the light before taking the bike out for office.
The point is some people can take aggressive stand, some can't. I can't, unless pushed to absolute limits. Besides, I drop in at the service centre before going to office. So I am wary of blowing my fuse and thus, blowing my day.
Can anyone provide the email of the regional manager or someone so I can vent my anger? I don't think anyone at IYM Mumbai cares.2016 Suzuki Access 125 (Matte Grey)

hi pals ...
i have done 3400 k.m.s as per my odo reading
... and have got serviced my bike as per the schudle prescribed by the company in manual.( i.e. got service my bike 3times and change the engine oil with YAMA LUBE 20W40 grade everytime.)
now i want to know that which engine oil should i adopt in next top up of engine oil so as to get the smooth engine at higher speeds say 5000-6500r.p.m. range. with good mileage in the order of 55+KMPL.
i want ot know what if i switch to 20w50 grade of oil from 20W40.
as in summer the tempratue here in this part of india smoothly reaches to 45-46degree celcius and bike really beg for the power
and smoothness. it start humming after 50Km/hr speed on 4.5K engine RPM.
please reaply in detail.
reply awaited.

xW50 is not a recomended grade for Gladi/FZ/R15... better stick to the prescribed grade... i think many others are using Motul 300V also and finds no probs... use it at your interest...
@All anyone using NGK Iridium IX on their Gladi? where can i buy it from?sigpic...Ride Long...Ride Safe...

@sudhanshu_gore: I have used castrol, shell & yamalube on my bike and so far I feel Yamalube is the best for Gladi. i have heard that Motul and Agip are also good, but have not tried them on my machine yet. Regarding the engine noise, not very sure.
I recently had my tappet adjusted from a Yamaha Service station (thought let them do it rather than the guys at castrol bike zone) and guess what , the bike now miss firing
Do they always have to mess up things .
Guys any idea on how much Front disc pads and rear brake shoes cost ?
I guess they both are 300 each. Also can anyone confirm if Gladi's disc brake pads are same as pulsar's (pulsar's cost around Rs.175) also the guys at castrol bike zone told me that for the rear brake shoe I can use a rx's brake shoe, are there other alternatives ? Most manufacturers have 130 mm brake shoe at rear so want to know if parts can be interchangeable ?
Also can some one tell me the right Bosch spark plug part number and price (the one with dual electrodes ), and also is NGK G power CR7HGP the right one for gladi ,the website says this is the one, but Binoy did mention this may not be the right part ?Last edited by arunrajmail; 03-29-2010, 10:53 AM.

You can use the Pulsar's disc pads. They are similar and cheaper.Originally posted by arunrajmail View PostAlso can anyone confirm if Gladi's disc brake pads are same as pulsar's (pulsar's cost around Rs.175) also the guys at castrol bike zone told me that for the rear brake shoe I can use a rx's brake shoe, are there other alternatives ? IMO You should stick to the stock plugs and save money rather than going for NGK G-Power. Consider the Iridium IX if you want a suitable upgrade from the stock plugs (which too are NGK). The plug cost Rs 550/- and the model no is CR7HIXsigpic

It took nearly 2 hours to go through this thread....
And i feel lucky to be a gladiator owner.....
No doubt gladiator is a all rounder bike...
But still i am unsatisfied with the sound of the exhaust and the handle bar is too high man...so i am thinking to replace it with fz or r15 ...and about the sound i am in big confusion....it's really sad knk is not available here....if i change my silencer then does it effects the engine n performance...
