  • @raja_roadster - i have done 109 KMPH (speedo) with external help. But one can only cruise at 80. 4th gear itself will take you there. Above that it is difficult to sustain.

On the contrary i have been able to maintain the speeds of 100 easily on NICE road.

            • @Sriram:From my experience, fully synthetic oil will last twice as much as semi synth in the Gladiator. Other than that I couldnt notice any other improvement. Oil in question is Motul 300V.

@Madhav: Please PM me your Email ID. Need to forward you the mail I received from NGK USA regarding your spark plug problem.
In case you decide to switch back to stock plugs, sell the Iridium plugs to any Platina owner. Both the bikes use similar plugs.

                • My review after 200 kms in semisynth.

Cold start - little sluggish (Dont know why) - Need to engage Choke for atleast 2-3 mins to avoid engine shutdown. (It was not this way before)..

Revving the engine in 2-3-4th gears upto 5k-6k rpm feels like straining the engine and not quiet smooth as it used to be..

IS this gladi's nature or the semisynth in the case causing it to happen this way... I am still confused as t

Apart from longevity what other character does full synth have to score and edge over semitsynth...Madhav ? - Night ?

                  • >20K and still going strong

                    Hi Guys,
My gladi has crossed 20K, 2.8yrs and still going strong. I have changed the chain sprocket and brake pads as of now.
As we have all discussed except for low rpm response, fuel efficiency, headlight throw the bike doesnt have any complains
The miid (4K - 6k) and top end (6k and beyond) is just addictive. I take the Hosur road flyover everyday to EC and maintaining <80 becomes so difficult with the urge to go betond. In NICE road i have touched 117-118 on speedo on an incline and have maintained >90 with full throttle, so no complains in that!
For people who are not able to take the bike beyond 80-90, please take your bike to at least 8K Rpm in every gear and in 4th you would have crossed 80, but DO THIS IN A HIGHWAY WITH DIVIDER AND LOOOONG STRAIGHTS IN DAY TIME WITH FULL VISBILITY OF SURROUNDING

                    A PROBLEM:
Since last month or so I have been seeing the bike misfiring beyond 7K Rpm. It feels just like your fuel supply is about to end and bike is gasping for breath. Guys, any experience in that and any help is much appreciated. When is the ideal time for air filter change? Can this be because of it?

Motul 5100 is a 15W50 Semi synthetic oil.
What I am saying is,if you cant afford to,dont change the oil. Change it in your next service.
I have already talked to the Yamaha dealer. That engine case is being backordered for the past 3 months. Also paid an advance but no sign on that part.

laasst week i just beat a pulsar with it..
i weighs very less so bike pulls me very easillyy
                            tat p135 cudnt get mee.
it was on highway, i was riding normally in near 40 or 50 kmoh he cam to overtake me..btt when he reached same levell, i just downshifted to 3rd gear nd there u go.. the glady began his roarr soon clicked 60 or 65 in third nd i shifted to 4th at nearly 8k rpm.. nd ran till 80 in 4th gear nd as soon as i shifted to 5th i reached 85 86 87.. nd we wer both on same level.. nt ready to get beaten..

thnks to disc brake.. at the end. i had to drop to standstill frm 100kmph when a lorry came infront of me nd their was just a 30 or 40 mtr gapp..
it stopped at the accurate stoppp
Was beating a Pulsar 135 so important that you put your life at stake? What did you achieve by this? What did you prove by beating a complete stranger? Nothing. Life on the road is not a race. Please ride safe. Your father trusts you enough to put a bike in your hands at the age of 16. Dont make him regret it.
