    Hey Guys, finally got my FZ FI....i guess this is the first in Chandigarh . Smooth and powerful bike.

    Now what do i need to buy for maintaining it. Lile cleaning stuff and wax etc?

      Congrats mohit, how is the response of this Fi engine should be more smooth, make habit of cleaning your bike daily, always use soft cloth, for wax polish waxpol ultra glow is quite good with uv guard or look out for collinite carnuba wax polish.

          Congratulations on the new FZ V2. This should be the first bike on xBhp as well. Do follow the break-in period religiously (read manual for knowing the bike in and out).

          As [MENTION=47074]Divya[/MENTION] Sharan mentioned, this new FZ V2 requires its own thread. Awaiting reviews for the same soon.

            Guys, i'm facing problem with Power Loss feels like its running out of fuel (jerky ride). Happens in all the gears and throughout the rev range, but is more prominent in lower gears.
            Is it due to high altitude (i'm in Kashmir and the problem started while on the way) ? And how can it be rectified ?

              Get the spark plug checked. I was facing the same and saw that, the spark plug was short. Costs Rs. 76 and is a minute job to replace and fit. During rainy season it does happen a lot because of water accumulation inside the spark plug cap.

                    Okay.. Let me clean the cap for any moisture and will change the plug anyway.
                    It was getting really difficult to ride today with all the power loss and lugging.

                        checked and cleaned both the plug and the cap, still the powerloss continues. going back tomorrow, let's see if its the same in plains.

                          Dunno man. 'extremely disappointing - graduating to a larger bike the moment I am capable.

                          Check air filter, spark plug, AFR, fuel impurity, carburater (extreme & consistent case)

                            Did you check whether the spark plug cap is short or not using a line tester? If that is fine, check for water in petrol tank. Clean the tank and bike will be back to its glory.

                              I have faced the same problem in my bike. Is your bike having the new type of carburettor or the old type of carburettor. If it is the old type then it is the reason for your power loss. I nearly struggled for more than 2 months before pin pointing the actual culprit. In fact I have changed - air filter, Spark plug, Spark plug cap, ignition coil. Cleaned the tank twice. Cleaned the carburettor twice. Atlast one of my friend who was working in Yamaha told me that the old type of carburettor was having some design flaws which might shows up at about 30K to 50K Kms. He told me to change the carburettor to the new type with the return throttle cable. And Voila my problems suddenly disappeared. The carburettor along with throttle cables, switch set in the right side of the handle bar and the throttle grip - Rs. 5500.

                                Congrats on the new bike. After seeing the Tail section I am getting the idea of doing a Tail tidy for the old gen Fz. Would it be a direct fit?
