  • The other day I have observed two FZ's with bent alloys at the back. Personally I felt when I looked at the alloys first time, the quality is not upto standard. The bent alloys of two FZs I have seen other day give enough proof for my statement.

    Any observations in this regard??

What can be the reason for this downwards slope? I mean i was soo happy when i was gettn average of about 45 and dat 2 before getting my bike serviced even once, i was xpecting that i will go up, but now i am getting mere 35-38!

Is theres some problem with tuning?

I would recommend to fill petrol Only from a trusted petrol bunk.. so that there is no variation on the Quality and Quantity front.

I would also suggest the Tank Top Up to Tank Top Up method of calculating the fuel efficiency.

Can u plz tell me in detail, what this method is all about?

I always fill Petrol from trustworthy source, so as such no problems regarding Both Quality and Quantity ; To be precise, i filled in 5 lts of Speed Petrol for calculating mileage!

The method i use is as soon as it gets to reserve, i fill the tank with some lts of fuel, reset the trip meter and wait till i get to reserve again?

              Is theres any alternate method?

True...tank full to tank full is the best.

No need to get till reserve. Top up the tank...ride say a 100kms and top up again. The amount of fuel you put in for this top up is what the bike has consumed in running those 100 kms.

Does not matter how much you fill in for the initial top up. Once topped up, ride for a 100 kms...now top up again. For eg...it needed 2 ltrs for topping up again. So your bike consumed 2 ltrs in running 100kms which works out to 50 kms/ltr

What I was trying to say was .. that should i ask the filling guy to Full the Tank ? Will it not spill / overflow? This is actually my concern! or the filling guys are smart enough to understand!!??

well, as per Yamaha mechanic, It do add to the bikes mileage. (u get an increase upto 5 kms).. not sure about other parameters tho!

                            • What's with the YAMAHA guys, are they trying to compete with RAP ARTISTS ? The bike looks neat as it is, why all the chamak dhamak ? Only the tail lamp looks okay. They are just RAPING the bike.

                              • the seat and the tail light along with those blinkers are okay but that bling bling would have looked better if it was silver instead of gold... an a dull finish on that would have been even better.

can one use some of the r15's accessories like clutch and brake levers on this bike??
