Great work dude!! Looks Awesome.. I had a question, Did U remove the headlight glass for the installation ? It seems from ur 1st pic that the glass is missing but I'm not too sure?
PS: Last month my bike fell down from the side stand since my bike was in neutral & there was major dammage to the headlight console since it crashed directly on an iron pole.. I replaced the entire headlight assembley with original FZ16 assembly worth Rs 1300 from a local mechanic (who was very close to my bike crash site & i was already 8.3- pm so yamaha SVC was closed by the & I could'nt see my bike in that condition)
Anyways now I have a replaced headlight assembly but few days ago I noticed there is visible crack on the glass of headlight right at the centre.. It is not so bad, about 2 inches but looks very odd in daylights.. That local mechanic said there is no possibility of just replacing the glass on headlight assembly I'v to replace it all over again. I dont wanna spend so much again but still I was seeking for some other options..
Any idea on this topic wud b really helpfull.

and thts some thing you can do too...go to a scrape or SVC scrape and look for old damaged FZ reflectors...get the one with the most undamaged glass and replace it with your current one.
now removing the glass from the reflector requires heating, can be done in a microwave oven but better ask some mechanics to do it!
best of luckSmoke rubber,not tobacco.

Why do you need a helmet lock? there is one already on Fz. If you lift the seat, you will find a hook beneath, you can hook your helmet strap into it and Lock the seat. Your helmet is safe. You dont have to use those ugly locks.Originally posted by ayushkant View Post
I've inquired about helmet lock, its about 100-150/-

Front shock oil leakage 3rd time
Battling with the front shock leakage...... took the bike to venkatesh motors at Ameerpet n changed fork oil seal n oil.... leaked again n out of their generosity they decided to change for me the fork tube n oil seal under warranty(which costs like 1500 total).... when recieving my bike, told the mechanics that there is a strange sound on sudden hitting of front brake n argued that i was worried..... well, the fork is leaking again third time.... tired of this.... my friends bike FZ-s has the same problem, dont know if its common to FZ owners..
Can I take my bike to another service centre n repair it under warranty or should i return to the same svc??? dont want to pay!!!
today was my last day for 5th free service so took the bike to pearl yamaha kondapur n gave it to a mechanic Thejus gave his number, told him not to touch the front shock coz thought if i have to pay, cant go back to venkatesh motors.... any suggestions??I'd rather be fast than invisible!!!!!
Bikes previously owned n models

Honda MTX 50 - off road

Hi fellas, nowadays the bike is behaving rather strangely.....
It has become more responsive....i mean quicker acceleration...although the top speed still remains 103kmph
....
The gears have become smoother
....earlier they were hard as hell....
all this after two months of servicing and more 2500km on ODO
....
so i guess the mineral oil life is over.....
So the engine is also getting much much hotter than before.....
and i mean really HOT...like it could easily boil a litre water kept on it.....
Then suddenly i realised its Summer guys...winter's gone...
So did the increase in temperature make the engine smooth???
the oil used was the same Yamalube 20w40....
But the engine gets very very very very HOT
....
So what now if i put the Yamalube 15w50 semi-synth....will the engine become harsh again due to a more viscous oil???
I want the engine to remain smooth and responsive as of now
....
without so much heating....so whats the solution for me???
I am damn confused
....
