But filled it up for 200 Bucks with IOC Extra Premium and it again went to reserve around the 130 Km Mark. So its up to you guys to let me know on that. ( I dont have a clue about it as I dont have any papers manuals etc.. for the bike except for the DC - Delivery Challan for the bike form my Dealer. I insisted on collecting the bike without the required papers and continued for the days.)
thats a moulded plastic dual layer tank so max capacity is 12ltrs so reserve should be ideally 1.2-2ltrs. only your manual would speak of it. check efficiency after 1st service and let us know. when it hits reserve, fill 1 ltr of fuel and check for the next reserve. simple!

thats a 5ah-12v battery there if i am not mistaken. so i wonder how getting a HID something fitted would be?!

It's good for city, but I highly doubt the usefulness on highway, or long distance touring. Fiber tank means no magnetic tank bag, VERY narrow back seat means out go the saddlebag. Somehow I didn't feel at home at all on the bike. It looks huge, no other thought about, but quite frankly, didn't 'click' in my mind.

Congrats to all the FZ owners btw, enjoy your steed. Above are just my opinions, not to belittle anything.
Same here :-( I was so desperate to get first glimpse of it and when i went to see the demo piece, i was slightly disappointed, length-wise its not that long, its length is 1975 mm compared to Unicorn's 2095 mm... Was curious to know as to what extent will this make a difference ???
Moreover, the pillion seat is v.narrow... It'll be more like a driver driving the bike alone, for sure pillion will have a tough time :-(... Wish it had slightly broader seat for the pilion rider...

a shorter wheelbase is more fun to have in the city n on track.
nothin wrong wih 1975mm , its good enough .
Its a fun bike to have in the city.

and the bike is a head turner..
One FZ-16 guy overtook me sterday and it took me some time to get into frustration mode when I realised it was none other than a FZ-16 and not a FZ-1 or -6 I was confused with...

it has a deceiving looks indeed.. so better forget about the ergo and performance for now.. I believe its the best looking Indian bike today.

Have expensive riding gears , a flashy helmet and u r all set to fill up the puny rear seat with a hot babe....

              My New Ride FZ16

27 oct. was the most wonderful day for me as got to my new ride "FZ16".
At first it looks a very big bike courtesy big tires, big tank and big head lamp.
Just went to the showroom and got the bike on the spot.Black being my favorite color so i choosed the black one over the rest of the colors.
After paying the hard cash(70k) i finally got to lay my hands on the beast.
After that when i took the ride to my home what a feeling it was.It was just simply awesome....what a pickup, smoothness of the ride and over all feeling of the bike was awesome. While going home there was a huge traffic on the roads due to Diwali season and then i thought where have i struck man pls take me out of this plssss and i think the god heard me......then came "The Lord Of Streets"...woowwoow..i thought this is the right time to test the true nature of the bike.would it live up to its name "The Lord Of Streets"???.
slowly and slowly i kept on moving forward then i kept on going passing the traffic in a zig zag path and wile doing that it never lost its grip on the road and kept me pushing forward leaving all the traffic behind...woowoow...what a ride it was. Then only one statement came into my mind "The Lord Of Streets".Ya it prooved that it was definately "The Lord Of Streets".
              So far my experience:
              (1).Great pickup.
              (2).Great handling.
(3).Great to manouver through a traffic
(4).A head turner on the road(wherever i park the bike people surround the bike and keep on glaring at the bike).......it feels great when people look at u.
So thanx all u whoever has made this possible...a dream come true for me
              "THE LORD OF STREETS"

Ride reports come a little later after two months or so after launch. October issue had the exclusive test report...
