    bro FZ isn't known for it's top end ... whereas the pulsar 150 and 220 and CBZ are all better in this dept . but 105 on downslope is a bit off . I could do 115 on a straight with a 70kg pillion ...bike's stock .

      Thats a sorry state for FZ. I've also did a 105 kph with a pillion earlier but I donno what happened on Sunday's ride.

      I've even done a 120 kph on straight road.

      Hey can anyone tell me if the engine is affected if driven for sometime at 80-90 kph and then taken suddenly to 100kph mark??

        mileage dropped !!

        hi guys.. i gave my bike for 2nd service a few days back.. it was giving 40kmpl and now it dropped to ~35kmpl... i am riding as was before!! can somebody give me some input?? i am clueless

          Hiiii....

          Hey guys please help me yaar...
          My FZ-S would be 5 months old on this 3rd. and i want to coat ma bike with something like either teflon or wax pollish..
          Please guys suggest me wat wud be better..
          If non of these thn wat do i coat it with....

          And @ ayushkant
          it really dissappoints to hear tht ur FZ reached only 105 even on slope..
          Maan i took my FZ to 116 with a pillion too..
          and my FZ is still Stock.....

          And guys..
          It really feels good to tell u all tht my Fz's giving me an average of 40 tht too i ride at around 80 everyday as my house is in the outskirts of city.. so i hav to drive on the highways a lot....

          P.S: Please reply to my query......
          I wud prefer to drive on the road to hell.. rather than flying to heaven...

            lucky dude...my fz gave 26.6 kmpl( full tank to nill) when i was maintaining 100 kmph(mostly early morning rides on the high way with almost no traffic) and then again,28kmpl averaging almost the same.but then my second service came along and also,i changed my riding and gearshift style(upshift at 4500rpm for third and fourth gear)...started from full tank,two bars have gone down and some,and 140 kms done.also,my torque isnt so bad from 80 till 100...but dies after 105...has gone up till 117 on the straight though.it seems different engines are giving different out put graphs...what up with that...
            In the end,it does matter.

              Before you wanna go on a long ride, make sure to warm up your bike well, cold engines don't respond to speed bursts, remember it is not a fuel injected bike.

              Shouldn't affect the engine!

              Get a teflon coating done no more than once in 6 months. You can wax your bike with normal wax polish once a month yourself. There is a thread on which Wax polish to choose, that will give you a fair idea of market products.

                Dn worry, it'll come back after 100 odd kms.. If still bothering u. take byke to Service station, they mite have tuned byke to a little Rich mixture (common thing they do after 1st service)

                    my bike gave me only 30km/l!! never crossing 4.5krpm/60km/h

                      COMING SOOOON...FAZER TEST REPORT after 1000KM...

                      yeah I have almost done 800KM on my Black beast...meanwhile...getting a decent mileage of 43...will be going for first servicing once 1000km is done...keep watching for more on Fazer...

                        little advice from the experienced...

                        Hey guys i will take my fuzzy for its first service on Thursday (3/9/09), can u guys tell me what all points i should keep on mind to be checked and which engine oil should be used.

                            Rear view mirror alignment

                            Hey guys,
                            I'm experiencing some problem with the side view mirrors. They are not properly extended for rear view. And with my DSG jacket on, I can't see a thing while driving and as such have to incline a bit to right side in order to see the oncoming traffic from behind.
                            Can anyone help me in this regard as to how can I set the mirrors properly?

                              im not sure but i guess you might be able to re adjust by tilting the mirrors by loosening the nut.

                                I tried adjusting a lot but wid no proper setting. still everytime I align it, it looks like it needs to be a little more on the outer side.
