No. LEDs draw much lesser power from the battery.
Thanks buddy, in Amazon whenever I am searching, I end up with car bulbs. Hope this bulb won't CBR reflector and head light cover. Also just for curiosity, I have seen beautiful brake clutch levers used by some super bike people, while searching Ali express I can see many. What's your view on this? If good to order, what we need to keep in mind. My CBR is an abs model.

Hi. So is mine a abs version. I am also using after market shorty levers by moxi. They are pretty nice. In fact the feedback for braking at least is much more responsive after I started using those levers. You can look it up on amazon for this one. Or eBay.

Many of the thread starters and people with lot of knowledge in early years mostly around 2007-2011 are no longer active on xbhp
reason might be many ,but i think most common would be that these people would be in their 30's as of now
They would have got married, had kids ,and would be busy in their responsibilities.
Or they had simply moved on to bigger and more powerful bikes, hmm even I should do the same.

Is it the time to change the chain?

hypheni - we can't gauge it by just one picture. Find the part of the chain where the slack is tightest and post a picture of that without touching the chain. We can get a clear idea if the bike is straight, and the camera is a little further away.

Are you facing vibrations from the front sprocket or footpegs at low rpms?

I do, and although the chain is perfectly slacked, I feel it's time to change mine soon. Already have one in stock, but I'm looking how much damage this chain and sprocket can take before the sprockets start hooking or the chain slack loosens. This is the condition of my axle nut at 44, 949 on odo.

Really can you point me out to a good led setup?

Thanks mate for posting the pic of your chain. Now I can compare it with mine. Please see the comparison picture below. I am concerned about the yellow marked portion. You have some more space left to tighten the chain but mine don't have that space. Am I correct? Also if you see the Honda label for replacing the chain, my one has reached to the red zone.

Few days back I have setup RTD LED 40w and replaced the Philips Xtreme Vision. It has decent lighting output and good for dark night roads. Costed me 1100 here at Kolkata.

Along with the chain getting stretched, your sprocket has shark toothed as well. Time to get the chain and sprocket set replaced.

P.S: 25k kms is way too long for a chain/sprocket survival. Your chain and sprocket must have worn out around 20k kms or less.

Hello deathwing. Currently I am using RTD led lights 35w on my bike Which is pretty nice in terms of its price. I got it for 800/- INR incl fitting from a known dealer here @ Guwahati.

no it's not.
it all depends on how the chain was maintained and the conditions in which the bike was ridden. with regular maintenance and normal riding, it could easily go 30k km.

and when you folks get the chain/sprocket replaced, go ahead and replace the cush rubbers too (which are located in the wheel where the rear sprocket sits). Worn rubbers could also cause some play in the rear sprocket which in turn might affect the chain or cause some annoying noise.

One fact its a weird and negligible one but still a fact, CBR250R is 3rd bike in India to have "Bybre" Disc brake installed.

First one is Pulser220, the second one is Yamaha SZ-R (Yes! It has Bybre as front disc ) and Third one is Honda CBR250R!
ABS version has the NISSIN, japanese

Generally speaking yes. You can prolong the life of any component by using it normally and maintaining it regularly not just the chain and sprocket.

But in this context, a 250R owner wont be riding it "normally", would he?

My GSX150 OEM chain and sprocket are rated for 15k kms with rough usage. My colleague at 25k kms still has perfectly fine C&S

Thanks about the Cush rubber dampers replacement info. Dint know about that
