now that reports are slowly trickling in that hyosung sc are giving good service and bikes are behaving better than what it was at delivery looks like the engineers are getting trained by hyosung to deliver the goods.
good news to prospective buyers like me..haha
They should be because a bad word of mouth by a customer can tarnish it's image.

Probably initial engine oil would be semi-synthetic oil.

2k for a service on R15....! For my ZMA max it comes out to 600-700 which includes oil + servicing..

                  oil - 450(petronas fully synthetic)
                  normal servicing - 100-150

In case, any parts are to be changed then the expenses are a bit more...but then usually there isn't any need for it...

                  • Test Ride feedback

FIRST RIDE & BOOKING: (ALERT: Long Post)

Booked my GT650R - Full red last weekend (Aug-6th) at the Chennai showroom,
i was told that it would be delivered within 15 - 20 days

The test ride was sensational, the v-twin power came on like a surge after 6k rpms and the weight of the GT disappears as soon as the bike leaps past 90k, it loves to corner, thanks to whoever heated up the tyres before my test ride... for some reason the GT650R in the Chennai showroom had a broken front brake lever and right indicator. On asking, i was told - "one of the customer's dropped it", i was not too happy to hear this as i had to ask right before saddling up for my run

This kept me well within my limits and near Adyar, Chennai there were not too many open roads where i could rip the bike, all the same Suresh (Sales Manager in Chennai) made sure that my visit/test/booking was a pleasant experience and was eager to answer any and all questions i had.

I was surprised to notice that i had a pretty hard time shifting from 1st gear to 2nd on the test bike. I suppose the downshift to 1st gear being clunky makes sense - as it is common for most mid-size bikes but this was pretty new, i was told it may be due to lube (idk... the bike had pretty low kms on it), weird? The other gears were smooth as butter but i particularly found that the throttle was twitchy. Not in a bad way, i infact liked it, it almost felt like the most smallest throttle lever differences seems to send very large differences for the ECU's I/O, either that or the mapping on the chip may be off. After all, its a test bike and used to frequent RIP rides... I'd prefer to ask the relatively longer term owners if they had noticed something similar?

This made the bike more appealing to me, it felt almost as if the bike wants to make you work harder to reap the rewards and pleasures of a gratifying ride and well deserved satisfaction after a spirited ride. I was expecting to throw my leg past a 650cc 'noob killing' monster but infact, it turned out to be so much of a surprise than what i had expected. It adapts itself to almost any kind of riding style, high geared low rev cruising, mad dash and city rip, well balanced commuter style riding, almost anything you can throw at it. Even tried downshifting from 3rd to 2nd during mid corner and the 160/80 rear seems to stick on to the tarmac and wont even twitch a little. The bike is well balanced exiting the corners. This is very comforting for me to know coz it helps in more than many ways in day-to-day life.

B.T.W. My heart sank after looking at a Full White GT650R which arrived right when i had completed my booking, i was told it is for another Customer. It had KILLER looks and personally, i regretted for booking a full Red for a minute. My trusty friend who accompanied me tried to make me stop my bickering by telling me that It'd get dirty easily, Red looks more aggressive and what not... As far as i am concerned, I like everything that the GT650R has to offer and completely satisfied with the buy. The only thing i dont like with Hyosung is the number of colour choices they allow for the customer to have. Frankly, almost a bunch of those colours look AWESOME (Black+red, Full White, Full Red, Black) and most of us are not rich enough to get 4 different GT650R's!

Will post my pictures and experience, as soon as i bring home the GT, Do let me know if i should make it a shorter read mates

                    • Here comes my White Glory

Now I'm the proud owner of the GT650R... and the pride keeps raising as I keep throttling..
I had booked the GT650R from Chennai as there is no proper response in Bangalore and the bike got delivered to Bangalore within a month. Its really nice to interact with the Hyosung ppl coz they are very much concerned about the customer satisfaction. Now I'm the member of GT650R Elite Team.

When I took the test ride at Chennai, I couldn't ride it freely since it was a big jump from 150cc to 650cc. Mr Kaushik took me for a ride and showed me what the actual power of it and was totally impressed.

I was very excited to feel the ride of GT and finally i got a call from the Eswari Motors that we are delivering the bike on Aug 7th which made me almost sleepless.

Initially I felt little difficult to adjust to the riding position but when i drove it through the amazing NICE road I felt it superb and the ride was awesome. Initially by mistake I filled it with normal petrol which required Hi-Octane petrol made the bike to turn off with hick ups, once I filled it up with Speed it started properly. But under low rev shifting the gear made the bike to go off. So then I came to need to throttle little during the gear shift.

Initial shifting of gear makes Dhudd noise which is uncomfortable and the next shifts were smooth and the balance was great.

The best part is the exhaust sound... its really classic and I liked it a lot.

Its a serious eye catcher... I'm loving it

Infact, I too have dreams of owing a 600cc (probably NINJA is my taste!), but FINANCIAL situations don't permit as of now. Till then I will enjoy the GT650 and Ninja 650 threads. Keep it coming, spending time here is better than watching bollywood movies.

P.S: :Looking forward for some great clicks of your bike. Probably a 360' view photograph.

Same is the condition with me buddy. After lot of struggle got hold of a used ZMA. My favorites are R1(1000cc) and CBR600FF(600cc). Have started planning would surely go for a CBR600 or N650 in future.

Bro you booked right color as much i think. Red is actually more eye catching than any other color. I have also red one and i am happy that very less people call it a hayabus White color make people think that its a hayabusa , just because of headlight and little bit design.

Well that DHUDD sound is normal and i read it in other places, its pretty normal. I get same sound in my GT 650R. And man, you are right. Exhaust is not only great looking but also enough loud to make you heart jumping. And about eye catching, yes, definitely. I everyday get number of stares, compliments and question from people here in jaipur. Enjoy...!!!

Thank you! I've always wanted a 'ducati 999' and the Solid Red colour choice is mostly a result this... Regardless of colour, the GT rocks in almost all choices, everyone's a winner!

I wanted to keep it short so that i dont put you guys to sleep, but now that you've mentioned it, i'll make sure not to skimp on the details

Not that either of us dont like a Busa (most of us do), but i fully agree with you on this and i'd prefer for ppl to think that it is a Hyosung than a Busa!
