The one on the left side is the one that Hyosung is giving with the Welcome kit (Brand VEGA). The one on the right in Melroy's hand is the one that he purchased (Brand LS2).Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostI think he has attached a pic of the Motocross lid, but he seems to be holding an LS2 in his hand in the pic on the right!

Exactly what I thought about this. Giving a freebee is good, but then it should match with the character of the Bike.. This is simply silly at Hyosung/Garware's part. The Vega helmet provided with the bike is offroad helmet. Are GT650 owners supposed to be offroading on it?

Thanks for the suggestions and help, but i have to wait until service as we don't have any service stations of hysoung here in jaipur. Have to take bike to guragon which is 250 KMs awayOriginally posted by nagoo View Postthe First 3 i can ans eventhough i don't own GT and i have R15 .. as these are common problem faced
1. Its true visor makes more vibes .... solution - get a small tiny piece of rubber and after carefully checked the joint [area between front mask and visor , and the screws] place/fix this rubber piece .. if u do it correctly u get == 0 vibes
2. check the spacing b/w break pad and disk .. and also as someone mentioned small stones/gravels might stuck in there which can make noise and check break cable..is it squeezing the breaks in the event of handle bar turn [highly unlikely]
3. read tyre wobbles - either its not properly aligned , or less air .. or loose
hope these may help u .. and no need to wait till servicing ..these are just 5 min jobs .. they might fix it rightaway"Pain is temporary , pride is forever"

Word on the street is there is a prominent dealer that is in talks with Garware to set up a dealership in Bangalore but things have been held up due to certain issues. They are working to resolve this and should settle things eventually. I have no clue about the time frames though. So dont worry too much.Originally posted by Brat View PostUgh... i am planning to take the GTR away to Bangalore in about 2 months or so where i would end up living going forward. Any clue about the Hyderabad dealership. I may be moving to Hyderabad in next 2-3 months. The dealer in Pune is saying that the dealership will open soon, and they have identified the person who will be running the dealership, however, their website does not show Hyderabad as one of the locations.
I have booked the bike here in Pune as the movement plan is not certain, but in case I move, and the hyderabad dealership is not present, it will be a lotta trouble
Till I get the delivery, drooling over the pics that I clicked on the showroom. Not great pics due to glare from the showroom lighting.. next time, when I visit, I will carry the CPL filter to cut the glare..
I have chosen the black colour. I was initially torn between White and Black.. White looked awesome, and had a lot of presence.. Due to the colour the bike looks even bigger and captures a lot of attention from the onlookers.. However this was THE problem and the overall it was little too loud and attractive for my taste and age (I am 34).. I wanted some discrete colour which does not generate a lot of attention from people :-) .. And for me Bike has always meant BLACK....therefore while choosing colour, I let my head rule over heart....and booked a black beauty..
The only thing, that I am not liking about black colour is the transparent Visor. Somehow it is looking out of place on the Black bike.. on all other colours it was looking fine, but Black.. I want a black visor.. Can I get a sunfilm on the visor to make it black or the only option is to get a black visor.. These are not available in India, but may source from US some time if some friend is visiting.. But that would be too cumbersome.. any other alternatives to get the visor changed to Black ?
Posting the pics here .. waiting suggestions on the visor stuff
.
cheers

I wish you don't face the issues as i did and facing right now. Hyosung people says that they provide on door services but these "on door" service costs you like anything and also a long waiting time, if you are in other city. So actually a non-practical thing.Originally posted by Brat View PostUgh... i am planning to take the GTR away to Bangalore in about 2 months or so where i would end up living going forward. Yes, i will be sure to join in for the weekend rides, do you guys ride every week?Originally posted by neil.jericho View PostWord on the street is there is a prominent dealer that is in talks with Garware to set up a dealership in Bangalore but things have been held up due

The primary reason to go for the GTR was because my family lives in Chennai while i would be working out of Bangalore, taking a flight out of bangalore is taking too long with the travel to-from airport (which alone takes 1.5 hours one way) from city and then check-in, security chk, wait time, travel time, everything included works out to close to 5 hours. With a 650 like GTR, it'd takes only 3 hours from bangalore to chennai - Door to Door.
I would travel alternate weekends, so hoping for a G2G with bangalore xbhp buddies atleast twice a month or whenever opportunity presents.

If you are hoping that the black will not generate as much attention from people as the white does, wait till you take it for a spin on the road.
About the visor, the clear glass looking out of place might be a personal opinion - but to me, it looks visually appealing on black GTR as well. It actually helps for the visor to be clear glass because you would mostly be using the visor on relatively higher speeds such as 150+ where you may tuck underneath. Black visor would minimise your view and is almost useless in low light. Incase you plan to use the GTR mostly within city limits or refrain from higher speeds or usage of visor, then go for it. Try looking up 'Zero Gravity'. GTR's visor material is usually quite thin, due to the V-Twin power plant, the vibrations crawl into the frame and eventually the visor, post 6k rpm and the visor becomes louder than the exhaust at times. Zero Gravity visors use thick fiber glass and it is available specifically for GT650R. Sourcing it should not be a problem as it would be available on pretty much most of the reputed online performance sites.
Thankfully, Bangalore has some of the best SBK maintenance/repair/service guys. I should be able to utilize those guys for any minor hiccups.Originally posted by vikyk View PostI wish you don't face the issues as i did and facing right now. Yeah bro even I like the clear visor. When I tuck in while doing high speeds it gives me a clear view of the road ahead.Originally posted by Brat View PostAbout the visor, the clear glass looking out of place might be a personal opinion - but to me, it looks visually appealing on black GTR as well. And if you plan to mount a camera on the tank to record the ride,it will be useful

Thanks. Looks a practical alternative.. but not sure if it will give the required quality :-)Originally posted by rakshit rana View Post@mittal_v2002 i've seen some videos on youtube in which some people have painted their windscreen black, which makes the bike more appealing & i think it's the cheapest alternative.
Thanks Buddy.. I checked with the website about the windscreen. They have replied that the OEM one is not available and I will have to settle with the after market one on their website. That did not look good though to me.Originally posted by melroyal View PostCongrats on booking your brand new GT650R.You will definitely not be disappointed with its thrilling performance.
