Yes bro afterwards the heat will reduce and remember to keep the engine OFF when not in use eg: while waiting at the traffic signal.
Yeah, using your advice.. had I not read your ownership experience, I would have gone back to the dealer with the heating problem..

A few issues that I faced yesterday
    1. Heat issue, already noted that this will reduce gradually

    2. Gear shift was not very smooth, particularly neutral -> 1 and 1-> 2. But this may be due to the change in the way I used to change gear.. only Toe operated gear shift may take some time for me to get comfortable..

    3.
right side rear view mirror was really pain full.. it seems to be little loose and was bending with the force of air.. just the mirror part not the whole assembly.. I could not find any way to tighten that as there is no screw etc... any idea how can I do that till I take the bike to service station .. riding in traffic without rear view mirrors is very difficult as I am not used to riding/driving without mirrors.

    4.
The new helmet fits pretty tightly on my face..in fact, it is a bit tight only on cheeks at the moment due to new padding, however, when I was riding, and was leaning forward, it was sliding forward and creating some discomfort as the portion that covers the forehead, slides down and some vision on the top is blocked.. it was not that bad that I could not see, but just a feeling that there is something (a part of helmet line) on the top of my eyes that I can see .. not sure if I am explaining that correctly.. The helmet size is XL, and I did try smaller sizes at helmet shop but this was the only one that fitted me.. L was too tight for me..

There are screw caps(small round ones) where the mirror joins the fairing, you have to remove the cap with your nail or something that is sharp to see the screw. Once the cap is removed you can tighten the screw. This does not need SVC guys. Anyways if you are not confident then take it to them. The star spanner to tighten the screw is available in the toolkit.

              Jacket: DSG NERO
              Gloves: DSG Revive
              Helmet: Cross with plain visor

Boots: have not bought the riding boots at the moment as I find these very impractical.. if I find something which can be used off the bike as well for some time, I will buy.. for the time being using my woodland high ankle boots.. these are pretty tough and have decent cushion and restrict sudden movement around ankle.

              Knee guard: yet to purchase....

Some snaps attached :-) B&B welcome..

It is best to upload the pics on xBhp, as some members are unable to see pics on third party links due to firewalls (at office, college etc)

                    This should be of help

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

It is not 12% but 13.32 % for state of Karnataka, depending on the Invoice amount (Asset Value, NCCD, Excise duty etc.) the computation will differ, since people residing in Karnataka have bought it from Pune while few have bought from Chennai with the variation in ex-showroom the Road tax will differ, for e.g. Rs. 4,75,000 would result in LTT amount of Rs. 63,270 + Registration charges + other charges.

It has been more then a month now since I had my DD ready dated 23-07-11, for the LTT filing, had to visit multiple RTO offices finally landing in Yelahanka RTO office, after subtle patience and brick-bracketing the RTO personnel clicked 4 sets of pics (Rear, Front, Left Side, Right side), and now it has come in papers and gone for Transport Commissioner approval. This would be a sigh of relief for any other person wanting to register in Karnataka State for GT650R, as it is a one-time process for any new kind of a bike, similar process for ST7 will be there, which I believe is already been spearheaded (not sure). The whole process was governed by an appointed RTO Agent for Bangalore

The actual Registration process will now happen for my GT650R, probably in the coming week, for other owners in Bangalore and wanting to register in Karnataka will be excluded from the aforementioned tedious activity.

If you look at it again, you will notice that the number plate is also not looking right... it is the mirror reflection image :-) hehehee ..hope you can make out looking more closely..

And yes that ugly saree guard is just a legal requirement.. without this RTO will not pass this..and will not allocate the number..as soon as I get the number allocated..this is the first thing to go
